Puff,

You give me some integration #s other than your "generous, fair proposal" I keep hearing about. I am a 95 hire/short bus capt. Where would I fall in your world of fair. Would I be with 95-97 hires or 2000-01? Also, if you guys go to bed with these Lorenzo clones to bust us up and we deem our transferred flying as struck work, what you gonna do??? If I am reading the media leaks and your statements correct, I think I know what you will be. Hope I am wrong and I hope your leadership can see thru what mgmt is trying to do. That is bust ALPA, period. They have busted it at Usair, and now they are using you guys to bust it here.

I do too. Let me reiterate. The deal is going to be done. NWA and DAL will merge. The question is whether or not the pilots will be on board with it.
The Delta MEC would like to see a consensual approach to the merging of the lists, and a fair integration. The NWA MEC would like to see their group taking everything they can possibly get. The Delta MEC, in agreement with Delta, is covering their 6.

No more, no less. The ball is in the court of the NWA leadership. I suggest that they play it smartly.

i am baffled how many of you DAL guys act like you are in bed with MGMT. MGMT IS NOT YOUR FRIEND! Were they your friend when they slashed your pay and pensions?:puke:

And you were doing so good!

ACL65:

Their concern remains the same. That when the floodgates open again, the flying will be routed to non-union carriers as it has been in the past.
Their concern....How about $100,000,000 and no less than $1,000,000 per pilot. Too bad you're not one of them any more, but you're free to go back there.

They are pretty sure Comair is sold with a new flying award to make it sexy. This is where around 1/2 Billion of the cash for the deal is coming.
Did dan tell you this while you were under his desk or was it n2264j?

The RJDC leaders are true blue old school unionists. Wish we had more folks in ALPA that were.
The rjdc leaders are scumbag losers who couldn't get hired anywhere because of "questionable" backgrounds. It appears that Delta failed miserable by letting a little supporter like you slip through the crack, although, I'm anxiously awaiting your "threatened resignation."

Delta likes the 700's and 900's (and 1000's if they can get them). This will be sold to us as a problem for the NWA DC9 guys, but it is a real problem for all of us and not worth whatever pay, or equity, pilots might get by selling scope (DAL's, or someone else's).
Just think, you can go back to fying with your pal joemerchant at ASA and hang out in KY at the old rjdc hangout and butt smack each other to your hearts delight joyous about the prosper of yet another lawsuit! Why not? I'm sure with summer coming, Haber could use a new roof on that pad of his in the Hamptons.
Fins, sometimes you are a horses ass!
Why didn't you just stay at ASA?

Wait, I thought you wanted my help to get over to Delta??.........jerk! Well, I am a bit less than 50% at Delta. How will you fit in? You and your Greenbook merger committee Chair probably have figured it out that this merger will happen regardless, and it is time to jump on the "relative seniority bandwagon." It really is fair.....And, if you need help for a DL interview soon, then PM me back. We have only 2 more classes left, and I can feel my relative seniority climbing...

Bye Bye--General Lee

I am not warning you, I am warning them. I have seen the numbers of what has been presented to them--not the membership--the leadership. It was more than fair.

That's the point. The only ones that really know anything are leadership people. The average guy at DL and NWA who works to pay the bills and goes home to play with his kids knows nothing about this. This is all being done behind the scenes. How about we treat people like we would like to be treated if we were in their shoes? I'll never vote for anything that screws my fellow employees for my own personal gain.

Actually, most of them left. I think Ed Bastian was there, though. I think Moak can see the writing on the wall, and that this merger is wanted by more people than not wanted. Should we, the larger pilot group with more "realistic" expectations, just sit and watch a stubborn Greenbook committee Chair with an agenda ruin a good outcome? No way. When your side comes to your senses about fair SLI (within .05% of your CURRENT spot), then you can come on over, have a pay raise, and we can all hold hands and go watch a NASCAR event and eat frog legs and corn dogs. Maybe you guys can bring some lutefisk.

I don't get it. If I raise a concern about outsourcing and the desire to keep flying at Delta, you slam me. Not the ideas, just me personally by association with folks you despise.

Do you want more outsourcing? Do you want ALPA to fail? Really, what is your agenda?

I could allege you are more in bed with JoeMerchant et. al. because you align yourself with his ideas when you come after me with the torches and pitchforks. Joe and I are opposites on most issues.

In any event, you waste your time being mad at me, I'm a nobody in this process.

The DAL boys are getting nervous, and running for the lifeboats. They're trying to cut a deal with management, then use the differences between the contracts to leverage the NWA group into buying off on a DAL-designed SLI.

They sold their Scope for $$. Their strategy assumes the NWA will be forced to eat a list...or see their flying shifted, over time, to DAL pilots.

Here's the rub: That strategy is like pulling the pin on a grenade, then holding the spoon down as leverage. Unless you can keep pressure on the spoon all the time, it will blow up and kill you.

I understand the rationale behind their decision. I also understand why my dog sometimes craps in the living room.

I don't think it would be a permanent B scale. When they decide to get "realistic" about SLI, then they get a 15% raise to forget about it. Everyone lives happily ever after and Dale Earnhardt Jr will be the King of all of our lives! Suuuuu-weeeeee!

59% + change. So lets call it 60%. You seem like a reasonable guy, but the usual trolls seem like they are relishing in their hopeful windfall. This is going to make usair look like swa as far as working conditions if mgmt is successful in convincing Dalpa to break another Alpa group. This is disgusting if true, that Moak and company would stoop this low. Hope it is not true.

Same relative seniority that you have now. Where is that?
