Our dues money at work. Right, Wiskey Driver, you saved jobs. Sure you did. It's all about you, buddy. With clear thinking professionals like Wiskey Driver in Rep positions, it's fairly clear why ALPA isn't the popular choice in union "representation."

Yup you dam right dues money well spent! Ask anyone on this forum just how far I go to represent my pilots!! You and your racist buddy captazzlie can certainly kiss where the sun don't shine, as this is personal now!! 8 pilots to the west in three years while easties are enjoying growth and upgrades at the west's expense. In case you didn't know we were running classes of 30 or more before the great usair bailout and got nothing but BS and attitude from the likes of people like you. You should be greatful to even be employed. You had no growth, now a/c orders, no attrition and no future at old USAir. Now with LCC you have new life and it comes at the expense of the west and if you can't see that it's because you don't want too.

Ah, yes....our ALPA dues hard at work. And I see you're still on the high road. Very proud of ya.....

You should be! I see that you had no problems at all about your buddies comment though did you!! I guess all racist stick together huh?

WD.

I don't know who captazzlie is and I couldn't care less. His comment wasn't particularly racist, I don't think, but what I was commenting on was your very unprofessional response. Unbecoming of an ALPA rep, wouldn't you agree?

Anyway, continuing:

AWA was blah blah blah blah blah blah

USAir was blah blah blah blah blah blah

We were hiring 30 and blah blah blah blah blah

None of that $hit matters now. IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Get over yourself. ALPA sucks, and there's little arguing to be done there. If my reps were on here spewing the mindless venom you spread I'd vote to recall.

I was not invited to LAS and I've been a memeber in good standing for over 20 years.

You would certainly be welcome at the BOD. We had a huge section at the back of the plenary session meeting room for observers, and all committee rooms also had an observer's section. I saw a few dozen pilots in these seats, all of whom were ALPA volunteers in other capacities, I'm sure. Why didn't you fly out to Vegas to observe democracy in action? Too busy playing golf or watching American Idol while guys like me were out there on our days off?

Yet you didn't which is why you are in the shape you are in today!! Big talk no action. Maybe you should be more like your screen name.

Absolutly!!! I was there during my dam vacation no less serving pilots! Just another one of those who when asked to serve on a committee say "i'm too busy, I just want to fly my trips and go home"

Reason for that: I'm not in the base with the weak sister GAG reps who need the recalling.

No, my reps were actually in alignment with the views of most East pilots. So, guess what happened to them......right, National had them removed.

I guess that's called Democracy in your world, Wiskey Driver.

Let me expalin something to you about those quacks Rowe and Chabatoni! They should have been recalled long ago! But since you hold those two in such high regard, I suggest you follow their advice!!

I was told long before we ever went to arbitration by Rowe, "this has to go to the arbitrator, we have done this many times before so we know how it's done. Let the arbitrator rule and one day you walk in the crew room see the list up on the wall find your name and move on" Well you know what? Your name has been up on that list for almost a year now, why not follow the advice of your beloved C41 reps and go find your name and lets move on.

Yeah, actually I'm a big Carmichael fan. Looking forward to the outdoor season, specifically the 250's (lites). Villapoto, Lawrence, Dungey, etc. Should be quite a show.

Well you've got to be alright if you like motocross.

I'm looking forward to the outdoor season too....I've never been much of a SX fan. You're right about the lites class this year. Also looking forward to the Townley / Bubba match-up in the MX class.

Supercross used to be good, it was once truly motocross in a stadium. The tracks had no rythm and it was a slugfest, just like outdoor motocross. Now days its just aerial ballet with bowl turns, complete with fireworks and all kinds of crappy filler for the "mainstream" fan.

Luckily outdoor motocross is still to uncomfortable and dirty for mr. and mrs. mainstream and kids to infiltrate as fully and completely as they have supercross.

I miss old supercross and 2 strokes. Luckily we still have outdoor motocross to look forward to, it would be better with 2 strokes, but alas, no such luck. Its still good though.

You've reminded me that there's hope for the 450 outdoors! I'd forgotten about Townley. His battle with Villapoto last year was epic.

Your analysis is spot on re: supercross of old. Watching Hanna in Anaheim in 1977 or 1978....you just don't see stuff like that any more. Now it's just Jump.....turn......jump....turn.

I'm off for a bit due to injury. Sold the two stroke, and I still can't justify the cost of maintaining a four stroke. Of course, this year AMA will allow a 250 two stoke racing against 250 four strokes in the armature ranks. All of us cheapskate vets can race our 250 two strokes without having to chase after the 450s!

Again...no recollection of an invitation. Question...Why 1.3 Million spent in LAS when we have a really nice building in Herndon, VA?? Lot's of nice Hotels and lot's to do in the Northern VA area. I do hope the Food and Drink were to your liking in LAS

As a member in good standing there is an open invitation for you to attend the BOD. You can attand washington to watch congress in the same manner yet you got no personal invitation to do so!

This thing is far too larg to be held in Herndon trust me on that!!

An invitation? The BOD meeting dates were widely published. But you probably never read your ALPA Fastreads, Air Line Pilot Magazine, MEC Newsletters, etc... Too busy playing golf, I'm sure.

Yes, it's very clear that you've never been to a BOD meeting. About 300 reps and volunteers don't fit into the Herndon office. Despite what you must have imagined, the Herndon office is far from exquisite. It's a very modest office building with a few conference rooms. You could barely hold 2 or 3 MEC meetings there concurrently, let alone an entire BOD meeting. The Aladdin (now the Planet Hollywood) Hotel in LAS gave ALPA the best price. ALPA sends requests for bids to every unionized convention center/hotel in the country that is large enough for the event. The hotel chosen saved us quite a bit over the other properties. That was stated in one of the communications from ALPA, but again, you probably weren't paying attention. Too busy with American Idol, I'm sure.
