Have you watched the youtube video's on USAPA on PHX?

Have you been to thier webiste? You must donate at least $200 to USAPA otherwise they will be bankrupt. What's the point in voting for USAPA if you don't give them lots of cash.. otherise if they win the election and run out of cash, Parker wins....again.

The $200 is a down payment. If USAPA wins, then WILL be back for more cash....

And ALPO does not ask you for money????????????

just watching the first 2 videos I see faults and immature behavior on both sides. First the east guy start out with something to the effect that he/they are not bargining agents and are there to present USAPA. However all his points for example fences seem like he is presenting baggining points too me. That comment he (the east presenter) made about more east furlooughs than AWA guys was BS. It was low and frankly stupid - as an "east" guy I am embarrased.

As for the AWA guys in the audience - you guy should be ashamed of your behavior also. The attitude and under their breath comments I could hear from the audience reminded me of my fraternity house days. It was quite clear they were only there to antagonize.

In conclusion the USAPA presentation sucked and the west guys acted like schoolhouse teenagers ganging up on some kid on a myspace page.

My concern still stands:

I don't trust ALPA anymore. ALPA cannot fairly prepresent the interests of a mainline carrier and at the same time represent contract carriers flying out sourced flying. And as the outsourced jet get bigger and thus the senority lists of these carriers grow the problem will only get worse. And that is only one of my concerns wrt ALPA.

Therefore I'd like to see a go on our own ala SWA or UPS. However if this happens we either agree to Nic as it stands and move on as USAPA or come to an east/west modified nic agreement and move on as USAPA. I do not want to be apart of USAPA or any new union that is only focused on this. If this happens I fear that while everyone is fighting over nic everything else we (east/west) have, for example the 190's will slip away. Then eventually all of us will be jobless or at Republic while the 500 or so senior guys that staff the A330's and 767's make up whats left of mainline.

so still undecided???
 
now after watching all the phx vids I can surley say both sides are f-ing pathetic.

the whole thing turns into a nic east vs. west arguement. The east does a horrible job of presenting USAPA and the west guy act like children plus it is quite obvious they edit the video to suite their views/need.

Highly immature, unprofessional and pathetic on both parts. I'm discusted and sick of this whole issue.

The amount of money that uSAPa will need from you will dwarf your meager ALPA dues. Get ready to pony up thousands upon thousands in assessments in addition to normal dues.

But just ask yourself: what is creating this whole mess? The answer is simple: uSAPa!!!! There is already a binding award. Both sides agreed to it, but now one side wants to change the rules because they didn't like the outcome. How can you expect the West pilots to act as gracious guests to this presentation under such circumstances? The fact that they didn't hang the uSAPa attorney right there in the conference room is admirable, as far as I'm concerned. The uSAPa guys have said it: vote for ALPA, and they will go away quietly. That is the smart move for everyone. Send uSAPa out to pasture before it's too late. LearLove, if you really want to go back to Airways, then you're only hope for a career airline is to vote for ALPA. If uSAPa comes in, then you airline will cease to exist in short order. The West pilots would burn the airline to the ground, and rightfully so.

As of 3/17/08

4 737 new hire Fo's are being based in PHX.

4 A320 new hire Fo's are being based in LAS.

They will be out on the line in early May.

Now before we rehash this whole ugly but true state of affairs lets just not go there. Read the transcripts and know that for a fact you were days not weeks not months but DAYS away from asking people if they wanted fries with that burger. Yeah bro because of me and 1800 of my bretheren you have a job. Throwing you a life line cost me plenty how do you plan to pay me back???

Please clarify what exactly was your part in the merger WD? (other than riding along and watching the show) Was the whole merger thing your idea?
Or was it more like your managements idea and you and your 1800 bro's went along with it because Doug said thats what you are going to do? I agree that America West bought Airways and used the Airways name. instead of the AWA name, I don't agree that you (yourself) personally saved anyone..... your company may have saved east employees but you work for that company it's not YOUR decisions running the company now is it?
If you need a pay back, I suggest you talk to Doug as far as I can remember he made the decision to handle the merge right? Talk to him if you are owed something because of his merger.......

You remind me of blacks asking for reparations.

Our dues money at work. Right, Wiskey Driver, you saved jobs. Sure you did. It's all about you, buddy. With clear thinking professionals like Wiskey Driver in Rep positions, it's fairly clear why ALPA isn't the popular choice in union "representation."

As I said before, outside investment saved both companies. The day the merger was announced, the outlook for both AWA and AAA changed dramatically, along with everyone's career expectations, both east and west.

There isn't one of us that controls the future direction of USAirways.
 
And the arbitration looked at your future the day "Before" the merger happen! AAA such a rosey picture in BK II.
 
Yeah, actually I'm a big Carmichael fan. Looking forward to the outdoor season, specifically the 250's (lites). Villapoto, Lawrence, Dungey, etc. Should be quite a show.

Even sadder is the fact some 50K plus members think this is OK with their dues money. I was not invited to LAS and I've been a memeber in good standing for over 20 years. That housing allowance alone is more than what many ALPA pilots make per year!
