I hope this rumor isn't true for you guys. Heard your also canceling new hire classes. Just about everyone's gonna be in the hurtbag for awhile.

Not true!! EMB classes are running once a month with 14-16 newhires a class for the rest of the yesr. CRJ Newhire.. the 3/10 class was the last one until September then newhires every three weeks tell the year is done. EMB upgrade 8-16 every month the rest of the year. RJ upgrade 8-12 every three weeks starting back up in june. (THIS CAN AND WILL CHANGE... IT ALWAYS HAS) most likley for the better.

Rumor. For now.

But rumors are what make FI so great.

Just got back from SLC today. I spoke to some folks in the training department and asked about this. This is entirely a false rumor. Let's hope it stays that way.

Of course this is false. SkyWest is the greatest regional airline in the history of mankind and would never furlough.

But a good enough of a rumor to make me take a peak.

Hire right up to the furlough. Just like a 'Major.'
Quoting through year end hiring is a little silly, it's only March. With an impending slowdown/reduced spending recession looming.

Will they furlough or will they just flat out fire? Nobody can tell... no union!!

CHQ fired rather than furlough. They have a union.

Our God given Policy Manual sent from above has provisions for furlough pilots. Ha!

No furloughs as of yet, just lots of reserves in certain domiciles.

Was that at STL? Bad deal for all.

I was referring to Oct of '01. CHQ dumped the Saabs on Shuttle America and rather than furlough in seniority they fired 125 Saab pilots that were on probation.

Axel,

No it was when they closed LNK as an out station. American ruined a good thing. CHQ had 9 packed STL flights a day. American decided to dump all that to have 3 ORD Eagle flights a day. That was a nightmare, so they closed LNK.

And I dont think that we even go there anymore.
