You make it sound like you would've had to swim across.Where's BoilerUp? Doesn't Kentucky have bridges?
And I quit a flying job in NY without even having any interviews lined up just so I could get the hell out of that place.......
Give it a rest, we know you don't like Cincinnati and that's fine - to each his own - but just because you hated it here doesn't make it a bad place to live.
If you're used to culture, open minded people, good restaurants, and good nightlife, you will hate Cincinnati. The worst three years of my life were spent in that hellhole. Oh, and have you noticed how the people born and raised there are claiming it's the best place in the world or are talking about where they went to high school? Get to used to it...that's all you'll hear. What a dump!
so....beans, tomatoes, meat and cheese don't make chili....how do you make it?
Oh and be prepared for when it snows, more than a couple inches of snow and the whole Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area shuts down for a couple days. The way the city handled the "blizzard" (9 inches of snow is not a blizzard) was pathetic.
Yup...I'm not "native" but I do really like CVG. It's all those things and more...but I'm not willing to move. I wouldn't trade if for the world at this point.Uh, everywhere south of I-80 in the Midwest is like that...
This is actually kind of funny...folks from there talk about how Cincy isn't a bad place to be, while the transplants by and large can't stand it. These are probably the same folks that proclaim the superior attributes of cities like Boston, NYC, SanFran, Chicago and LA while your average midwestern native could care less about either coast.
Some folks see traffic and expensiveness, where others see entertainment and activity. Some folks see lack of culture and too much conservativeness while others see good values by which to raise a family. I guess it all boils down to perspective...
There is nothing wrong with putting chili on pasta. However, Cincinnati "chili" is not real chili. Chili is supposed to be more like a spicy stew, not a sweat soup.
