You guys really aren't happy unless you put down and B!tch about everything. I'll bet no matter what happens at this company and no matter how good it is, some of you sorry mutts will still complain. Personally, I refuse to get drug down by that mentality. I tell you that there are gifts coming and you whine like spoiled brats, anticipating that they will be the wrong color. I have had quite enough, thank you. You embarrass me. Good Bye.:(

So......how is it that you know this inside stuff, and not anyone else again? Aren't you a new hire? BTW, I interview in a couple weeks!
 
CD, you boxed yourself into a corner; they liked your sample so much they starting clamoring for the whole pie...;) Don't be mad. The frustration, impatience, and worry (over being let down) are normal reactions to the situation, along with the happy anticipation you had expected. Remember, some dislike being kept in the dark and not everyone enjoys solving a riddle or finds it easy to trust others.

While we wait for more changes to be revealed, I think those involved can all agree that these are exciting days for NJA and 1108. Good things are happening and the future looks bright. I offer congratulations to all who are in a similar situation and my sympathy to those who are not.

Speaking of...congrats LF! Best Wishes for a successful outcome. In other words, Good Luck! :)

Nah, I'm staying on the BBJ gravy train! Besides, someone I really don't care for went over to the EP, and I would put toothpicks under my fingernails before fly with him again. I guess even we have our toolheads over here.
CA Dad, don't take this thread personally. Lots of tongue in cheek stuff here. And remember, this is NJA, when you say "big things" and "benefit" to our pilot group, we have high expectations. Back at the airlines, we'd expect the big news to be 90 seat jets with a paycut. At NJA, we are a high aiming bunch. Don't let it get ya down.

Ok, Ok. I'll spill the beans!

IJet 3 is coming out on March 16th, shortly followed by the announcement of the new GlobalJet Business Jet - Piloted by NetJets pilots from home using the new IJet 3 software. All the money saved from airlines and hotels will be given to the pilots as a monthly bonus.

As you can see, it benifits everyone.

Seriously, this is the tightest kept secret I have ever heard going around NetJets. Usually, someone is in the know. I think it has something to do with Gulfstream. My guess is that Gulfstream will be accuired by Berkshire Hathaway and will sell only to NetJets Aviation / NetJets International.

But let's not get crazy - this is only a guess.
 
1108 also has a big new project to unveil next week(hints given on their message board) and while it will mostly benefit the pilotgroup and their families, those in the know say that Mr. Santulli will be pleased. One group's improvements can reflect well on the entire company so perhaps the Bridgeway folks will welcome the news, too.

I've been digging in my heels, lately, standing up for myself and encouraging others to do the same. I rather thought the present avatar (boot heel on the floor) was a good fit, but I can be a good sport. Just remember, y'all still have to respect my posts...;) NJW

Actually, that's a pretty good guess. Berkshire has an awful lot of cash and has been looking for acquisitions. Gulfstream does fit Mr. Buffett's 'durable competitive advantage' philosophy. I believe they are a division of General Dynamics though? I guess they could be separated.

I hate to be a kill joy but what can be so exciting, big, and a benefit to "everyone". The SSBJ is only cool for the senior guys. 757 or 767 is only for senior pilots as well. A new building in CHM is neat but not life changing. We are all in First Aviation's new building more than we would be in a new building at CMH. Moving to RDU doesn't really change anything either. We would just be doing sim in RDU instead of ICT, CMH or TOL. Everyone already knows the teamsters are on their way out. NJA-NJI merger is all but a given. The only option above that affects the CMH operations staff is the new building. The way this story is being hyped up, I expect B shares or better.

I'm still interested to see what the announcement will be. 24 hour notice for a hangar meeting sounds suspicious. We will see. :beer:

Although word is getting around, there is a procedure still to follow and lots to get done--aside from pulling on the black boots...;)

Staying in CMH would definately not benefit everyone. Living there for 20 years was 20 years too long. Time to go!
 
Eureka! I've got it! Uncle Warren is buying Day Jet, funding a nationwide rollout, and we won't have to airline to our jets anymore!!!!! Woo-hoo.


Except...we...would have to.....ride around in an Eclipse flown...by a pilot with...500 hours. Must warn others.....

You wouldn't have to worry about "airlining" on an Eclipse either way. Wouldn't that be an interesting trip? An Eclipse flying over to Tokyo or Hong Kong?! :D
