I doubt SKYW will get much more UAL flying. We already do almost half their flying. That is, unless 200's are going to be traded/sold for more 700's (mesa's possibly).

JA, CC, and the guys have had their sights on US Airways for a while. I heard they like to go to that basketball stadium where that old, big guy now plays in the desert. Can't remember the name of the building...

Whatever happens great communications by this company...NOT, meanwhile lines in almost everybase down again for April in the RJ, no matter how you slice it and where you work the regionals SUCK! Please call Net Jets!!

One day from app to interview invite. Dang.

Good luck! I always enjoy catching a ride on RAH...seems like one of the better regionals.

Hear, Hear!! Joe and I stand together on this issue! I also will help any Mesa pilot that needs a job.

In fact, I hope to submit a resolution at the next Local meeting advocating preferential interviews and hiring for Mesa pilots. I believe our MEC Vice Chairman was a former Mesa pilot.

Your will be welcomed at ASA!

You won't be welcome in my cockpit you F%&king POS. Mesa dirtbags are the reason the pilot profession is no longer a profession. And like I tell any Skywest pilot, 'Your just like Mesa, only a little bit better"

Hi!

I know a guy who works at RAH and likes it. It's definitely better than TSA/Mesa/Grt Lakes.

I have very little sympathy for MESA pilots that started in the last 2 years. I would say that most of those pilots went there with very little time with SJS and dreams of a quick upgrade. They either did no research about the company or elected to disregard that research. It is not a secret that MESA sucks, and in the last two years there have been many other opportunities that are better companies to work for. Now, pilots that have been there a bit longer I really feel for. I hope they come out OK and can find a better place and not take too much of a cut.

Got the Interview at RAH... any advice on the interview prep?

"Checklist for Success" by Cheryl A. Cage.

The CD isn't really necessary, the book is a must.

You DO NOT want to grab it a week before an interview!

Get it now, and start doing the exercises. Do them methodically, as if your future employment depends on it! Interviewing is a skill, and this book (or one like it) will help you:
  • Understand "Why" they're asking a certain question, and what they really want to know.
  • Help you remember all those stories you'll need for an interview, and how to tell them in a logical, confident, and BRIEF manner
  • All sorts of interview tips/goodies.
What you want to avoid is the "I worked for Mesa, so they know I can fly" mentality.

:)Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine.

I second that book

I'm outta here!

I just bolted the beagle for Avantair. couldn't be happier. Better pay, better QOL, better future, cool plane,... every pilot I've met there likes the place. They are growing like gangbusters. Come on in, the water's warm.

Regards, Wacoflyr
