Welcome to the greatest job in the world. It is a blast, everyone I have flown with are great. Welcome again!

Congrats FlyAuburn.. welcome aboard if the Background check checks!!;)

It ain't for everyone, but I love it here, and 99% of us do too.

Just got the official call from Linda! I was given a choice between the X and the 800XPc. I chose the X.

Indoc is April 7th. I can't wait to work for such an awesome company with such a great group of professionals! See you guys out there!

Congrats.

You chose the X ??? be prepared to work your a$$ off. I just finished a 6 day tour, and flew 12 hours. Oh my back hurts throwing 7 bags all week.

Remember this, there is nothing typical about NJs.

Welcome aboard, and enjoy your ride.

Congratulations, FlyAuburn! Your enthusiasm is well placed. The leadership there tackles one big project after another, the volunteers pitch in and help and the unified pilotgroup keeps breaking new ground in the industry. This is, indeed, an exciting time to join the NJA pilots, especially if you like the idea of being part of a grass roots movement and value independence. Congrats again! NJW

i have 3 friends im trying to get into nja, they have applications filed but no telephone calls for interviews. been a few months now. recommendation letter was included....who knows...

You'd rather fly the Super Fast, TEB Express, Recover all fleets work til your fingers bleed "X" over the Classy, well equipped, real business jet, with real avionics, "800xpc" ? Who did you get your info from? Wholly crap - I've been at NJA for 6 years and would never, ever bid the "X" and I still can't hold the 800, much less the 800xpc or 900!!!!

Sorry - not to bring you down. You will like it here, just not as much as you would have in a Hawker. Good luck. The "X" type is a handful too. Welcome to NetJets.

Man, I don't think anything can bring me down at this point. The thing is, I like to work hard and fly. I don't like rotting in an FBO. Also, flying such a unique airplane and going faster than everything else out there does have it's appeal. I used to fly Caravans on 5 hour legs with passengers and barely get anywhere. At least 5 hours at .92 means you are actually down the road a bit.

Trust me, I've read ALL of the posts about how much "work" the X does etc. etc. I don't care. It's an incredible airplane and will go places, both of which appeal to me. From what I hear the Sovereign is picking up a lot of the recovery and starting to eclipse (no pun intended) the X in that department. I hear from a lot of X guys that it doesn't work as hard as everyone thinks it does. To me, the best info comes from the guys that fly the airplane.

Anyway, Hawker, X, Ultra, whatever. I'm just glad to be starting indoc on April 7th at such an awesome company!!

P.S. - As far as the type rating is concerned, I'm ready. I enjoy a good challenge, another reason why I came to NetJets. Bring it on.

I just finished my X type in CMH - while it is a long course compared to the other fleets it isn't that difficult. The hardest part is keeping the different models and their limitations separate. Welcome aboard and congratulations!

It sounds like it was a bad move on my behalf to turn down the interview. I was excited about the interview but the phone interview questions turned me down on the job despite its perks and $$$. After thinking about it for a few days I finally emailed them telling them "thanks, but no thanks. I dont think Im what you are looking for" I just don't think that time of flying is for me. Good luck to all of you guys who just got hired there!

You want a challenge? Come to the Ultra and fly with me. I'll give you all the challenge you can handle! :pimp:
