. I just hope we get a pay scale out to that long with increased percentages with long upgrades.

This would be called a CONCESSION. Regionals have 15 or 18 year pay scales, majors have 12 year (FDX and UPS go out to 15 but it doesn't really change anything, just little steps that would be better off as a CPI COLA) The idea is to get to max pay sooner not later. After you hit max pay there needs to be some type of COLA or built in raises to account for the fact that you are at max pay. imo.

It does bug me though when SWA pilots talk about extending our pay scale, it took the majors work to get pay scales to 12, let's not give longer ones back to the company.

With the mx issues at SWA, does that mean that they'll need to park a bunch of -300s? If so, will they furlough folks or cut back schedules? Just curious of what today's news will mean to the pilots there.

whatever happens, the poolies will still be willing to sacrifice their first-born child and a kidney to fly a non-airworthy airplane.

at least they'll be drunk on kool-aid when they crash somewhere in west texas...won't feel a thing...

Dude...totally uncalled for.

JKE - take #617 "....I hate SWA! Poolies are koolaid drinkers!"

Doesn't get anymore original than that.

Tanker, what do your sources say now about over 60 new hires? Last I remember you hearing it was around 42. Is it still there or down around 24, like others have been saying?

Last I heard was that 40 or so were hired. Now that they're starting to call them, there are some cold feet. It must be the thought of commutting to OAK to sit reserve for the next year+. I haven't heard what the final number is though. The 20 something number has only been a rumor. My buddy said that's what he heard. We'll see though.

When the class actually starts, my bud sends me a pdf file with the class roster.
