what is the funniest thing u guys seem in LA-GARBAGE??
-how about a ramp guy chasing a wheel chair down taxiway A and ZA just before the west entrance because the wind was blowing it!!

How about the time when a Chatauqua FO was doing a walk around. The wind whipped his hat off and blew all the way down to the blast fence where Comair parks. He just watched it blow away and then shrugged his shoulders and just kept walking. Then there was the time when the wind blew so hard that it weather-vaned a Saab 90 degrees while chocked and parked at the gate.

Another funny wind whipped story is with a ramper who had a whole pizza. He was walking out on the ramp to the break room. Wind grabs the pizza box and blew the pie in his face. It was all over him. lol!

I guess he found a new way of eatin pizza!

Then there was the time that the ramp crew and the fueler were waiting at the gate for us when we got there. The gate agents boarded everyone up when we called for boarding and we got out on time.

I havent been to LGA in a long time and I miss the place...just wondering if a few people are still around LGA. First was a ramp supervisor. I think his name was Angelo or something like that...he usually tried to keep the ramp running smooth and always said "god bless" when he got the paper work from ya. Next person is the "state your gate" clearance guy...always pictured him wearing a monicle and sometimes with a top hat. Last but not least is Miss Cleo still on ground?

Now for funny LGA stories. Anyone remember about 4 or 5 years ago when a snow plow went thru the ramp and plowed all of the tow bars away and all of the rampies were digging in the snow pile by the fence??? Not so funny story but we were cleared for T/O on 31 a few secs later tower screams Colgan cancel takeoff cle....uh delta go around delta go around!!! (rwy 22 arrival) rotate and get over that hill that has "new york" on it just to see a side window full of Delta 737 in a steep turn trying to miss us...lucky the 1900 is a small target.

Flying jets is more boring than flying the 1900. The 1900 was an airplane that weak pilots couldnt hide in well. The 1900 changed my whole perspective on life. I felt with the hungry hot tired people of the world after flying that thing. Remember CA1900?
