Exactly...I got a 38 cent raise. I voted no for this piece of crap. I don't know what people were thinking. A 1% raise is nothing but a slap in the face. As an FO, what is $380 or about $225 for an ENTIRE YEAR after taxes and 401K gonna do for you????

.....I wasn't even talking about this contract.....I was referring to LOA 29 that Sweptback was crowing about.....it amounted to about 15 cents for FOs and about 30 cents for captains.....and he is using it as ammunition for how successful ALPA is.......

I don't know what you are flying at ASA, but I personally went from 59.80 to 63.73, almost four dollars. Not as much as I wanted, but not bad. How did you only get a 38 cent raise?

You missed my point. I WAS getting screwed at those other two airlines who both had union representation. How exactly am I getting screwed at Skywest when I make more money and enjoy a better quality of life?

Sorry.... I was appealing to your sense of concern for the profession over yourself.... my mistake. Your position is clear...

You can'y simply compare hourly rates and make comments. Ask any Skywest pilot if they would rather work for another regional and the vast majority would say no.

You missed my point.

Rez....whether you like it or not, agree or disagree....the majority of pilots, both ALPA and non-ALPA, are more concerned about themselves then they are about the profession....It is what it is.....

No shat Joe..... that is known.... once again and as usual, youo do an excellent job at observations.....solutions though aren't really your arena.

the goal is to get pilots to see that there is more to gain by serving the profession rather than themselves.

relatively speaking, they're still below what RAH's 4 year-old rates are at (70 seat CA)

Those fellas, like many others are in contract talks right now and SKYW accepting lower rates than what they're trying for isn't gonna help.

Oh well....at least their rates aren't completely horrible now.

It's actually more than that.

ASA did with LOA 29 in Contract 1998.

XJT did with their charter pay package.

NWA got 150% pay back over 80 hours plus various work rules.

UAL just signed a TA bring narrowbody workrules up to their widebody standard.

You were saying?

You're kidding right? LOA 29? You mean the one where the senior pilots negotiated themselves a fat -700 pay scale by throwing the rest of us under the bus with earlier duty in times? Then gave us a WHOPPING 0.05% (half a percent) raise as a consolation prize? Yeah, that sure raised the bar!

Don't take this the wrong way, but seniority is a bitch. That's the way of the biz.

I love cut and paste. :D
