I am definitely No General Lee. I don't go to people's houses just to insult him. That's all he's doing when he comes to the regional board and brags about how we're all going to lose our jobs, and how great HIS CAPTAIN'S big ass 767 is.

Show me exactly where he does that. I'd like quotes and links please.

He does do that. I have found since I started reading these boards he is very condescending and egotistical. He seems to revel in the misery or demise of others. He expounds his opinions like they are fact, ad nauseum.

He has a right, as it is a public forum. I just choose to ignore his garbage posts.

ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME????

Probably 5,000 of his 10,000 posts are like that!!!!
(And no, I'm not going through them to link them to you)

I think it's much more condescending to rag on a guy who posts a news article and doesn't even comment on it, just because you don't like the guy.

Fins just posted something about Comair cuts. Why aren't you guys ragging on him now?

Maybe it's time to bring back the large turbo-props. Carry the same amount of passengers, only slightly slower at half the cost.

Who cares that passengers aren't crazy about flying props? If you don't give them a choice, jet or prop, they don't have an option and are thus forced to fly on the prop. After all the thing that really matters to a customer is #1 price of a ticket, #2 arriving on time WITH bags, #3 is service and #4 jet or prop.

In the end it is all about what the shareholders want and that is to turn a profit.

And maybe, just maybe, flying cheaper to operate aircraft means a raise of pilot wages?

Am I thinking too simple here?

I slam everyone equally. First of all, I enjoy EVERY PART of this industry. I have many opinions on majors, LCCs, regionals, Cargo, Fractionals, etc. I enjoy each one. Am I critical? I don't think so. I say it like I see it. Guys like John Pennecamp can't take it because he can't debate me. He thinks I think I am never wrong. I have been wrong before, and usually admit it. But he won't debate me on any subject because he KNOWS I understand this industry and have facts to back up my stand. He can't do it. He resorts to insults, and actually says "I shouldn't come to his HOUSE (?) and insult him..." Give me a break. This is a public forum and debate is encouraged. I asked him what he thinks Ed Bastian should do about high oil and RJs, and he still hasn't responded. He can't, which is the point here. I am honestly waiting for some debate on that issue, and he can't come up with a plan of his own.

Bye Bye--General Lee

While everyone tries to ID the General, I think he is Neal Boortz.

General,

Thank you for trying very hard to point out that the bad things that have happened to the delta pilot group are not the fault of the delta pilot group. Now please be a man and gulp down that it is also not the fault of the regional pilot groups. Blame it on your management or the Russians, but stop being an idiot and blaming it on us.

You do not make sense. I never blamed you pilots for the problems. The problem here is high oil and RJs. RJs cannot make enough money this time of the year on some routes when oil is this high. What is Ed Bastain doing about it? Parking them or not using them. Is that our fault? No. Is it your fault? No. Do you want our management to continue using high priced RJs during high oil and during the "slow season?" Do you? And where did I blame the regional pilots? Your airplanes do NOT MAKE MONEY during high oil and during the slow season on some routes. I am not the idiot here pal.

Bye Bye--General Lee

No. You're not worth it. Go back to the majors board and cry in your scotch, loser.

I am not worth it, eh? You have no answers, and can't debate me because I am correct. I asked you a simple question on what you would do if you were Ed Bastian, and you can't do it. You can't. You know I am right, because your silence shows it.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Call me crazy. I enjoy the General. If you have the time to drop the torches and pitch forks you may learn something.
