Now, has anyone got a real read on the multiple jumpseat deal with Delta. If we are the second, or whatever, J/S to show are we going to be listed as a J/S with no charge or are we going to be charged and boarded behind the Buddy-passes?

As for the Scabwest pilots, I will deny them a ride in the cockpit based on safety of flight. I will not be able to safely babysit my wet-ticket FO and lecture the J/Ser on the finer points of our collective industry at the same time. Hopefully, time will ease my harshness, but right now I'm boiling. I actually would have had more respect for them if the 2/3 that didn't vote would have voted no.

I use to work at ASA and now I work at SkyWest or ScabWest or whatever you want to call it. You need to really look up the definition of a scab, because we are not.

The grass is MUCH greener at SkyWest. People are happier. They are happy to work towards a common goal of making the company work and be profitable (OMG, is that SO WRONG or what!?!?) They are happy to work towards saving fuel. ASA pilots seem to go WAY out of their way to burn fuel and deny jumpseats. What does that solve? It makes them feel better inside because they believe they are powerful.

Thanks for reminding me why I left that company. The jumpseat-denying, extra-fuel-burning, non-flexing attitude of the pilot group over there really is sheit!

Don't get me wrong, not everyone at ASA was like that, but from my experience (almost 2 years), the majority of captains over there will go out of their way to try to screw someone or the company up. They then teach the FO's exactly how to act when they become captains and thus you have the non-professional and un-ethical pilot group that ASA is today.

Delta was going to charge ASA pilots who use the multiple jumpseats to get around the pass charge. ASA management went to Delta and said it isn't fair that other pilots will ride for free while ASA pilots pay for the same jumpseat ride. Delta said that ASA pilots would be S3C and the other pilots would be S4. They came to an agreement that works like this:

You will have to decide whether you want to be S4 (free) or S3C (pass charge) when you get to the gate.

November was steller, and it was no mistake. Pilot group played and important role in this. Not saying we are the only reason.

Once this pilot group sees the bonus money paid in a good quarter, ASA will see even more improvement.

Money talks.

Brad Holt has another chance to turn the ship around at ASA. Brian L. and Jerry A. had a golden opportunity, but chose to play the old game.

Mr. Holt and Company, should not. ASA makes good profits now, just think what we could do.

I don't think we can take any more credit for the currents improvements than we could be blamed for the poor performance of the past. Delta has figured out that good operational performance requires close supervision of the airport operations. In their arrogance they thought that just because DAL was in the house it would make a difference, and now they've learned better. Their poor performance affected our numbers. Now their improvements will help our numbers, and hopefully those better numbers will help us get contracts with other carriers.

You are WAY out of line with this remark. All we want is a fair shake, nothing more. If you were here 2 years you flew with how many, maybe 30 Captains? Way to label 900 pilots from a small sampling. On behalf of all the pilots here that are/were junior to you, thanks for leaving, I am sure YOU weren't any part of the problem.

Just jumpseat... that's what I used to do at Pineapple.

It's not hard.

Unless you've got some magic computer command we can pass on to the gate agents, yes it is that hard. If you have a PPR (which anyone who has ever paid the $50 does, even if they are no longer paying it), then the gate agent will not be able to put you anywhere but the actual without charging. At SKW our J/S coordinator has said the glitch should be fixed by january, and to email him details (date, time, flight #, name employee#) in the mean time. I would assume that ASA should be in a similar situation, contact your JS coordinator to find out. The problem at this stage is between us and the computers, not mainline pilots.

With Delta domestic "downsizing", and perhaps more flying headed towards larger ASA RJ aircraft in the future (hopefully), perhaps Delta pilots will see their error in not supporting a "level playing field" with regard to the ASA travel benefits.

It is simply disgraceful that ASA folks have to pay $5 plus 1c per mile on mainline, and the mainline employees DO NOT have to pay to ride on ASA!

The S3C priority I can understand, but the segment fees I cannot swallow. In addition, ASA employees can no longer buy discounted (positive space) "family fares". How dumb is that? There was a possible revenue stream for mainline just flushed down the can!

Never will I go down the route of being a jerk and not try everything that is legal to get a fellow pilot on the jumpseat. However if it is a Delta pilot, he will certainly be "educated" as to what the charge would be if I had my way!
