A good skywest captain gets the door shut ten minutes early. Doesn't start any checklist until the door is shut and the money starts being earned$$$. While in cruise you should be thanking all the union pilots for the last 70 years that allowed you to get where you are. Not some cult leader. And don't forget all the dead pilots and passengers that allowed you to fly that shiny jet that practically fly's itself and keeps your a$$ outta hot water. You should slow down a bit and allow Delta and United to get in ahead of you....they pay your fuel. Arrive on time, not early, so you can get the money difference back between block and credit. Why get there early, there's no gate available anyway. 3 extra minutes is a 6% raise, duh. Oh yeah, kick that turd next to you that thinks they are gods gift to aviation. Some 800 hour punk that thinks they have a right to be there needs to a b/tch slapping. And when you see an ASA pilot you should buy them the first beer at the hotel. Buy two beers for the Comair pilot that went on strike as well. Buy three beers for the Delta/United pilot that won't let you fly any larger planes. The bar is low enough. Almost forgot this...Gaybarebuttheat flamed us pretty good. I was pi$$ed off until page three!

Actually, this guy (whether he's joking or not) shares the exact same opinions (minus the mormon stuff) as a skywest captain I know. This captain told me he loves flying so much he'd do it for free!

"the test", the willingness to do anything to further one meager experience, coupled with sub-par intelligence. The real test is the ability to drink large abounts of koolaid chased with the jizz from large farm animals. 65% of the SKYW pilots are an embarrassment to.... well the rest of the world. I would only hope that ALPA would realize that the 65%ers are just potential poison to the seniority lists of every major and must be passed over. Let em go to Virgin(since most of them are(dogs don't count)), or Skybus!

Wanna act like this while we are on a four hour leg to KPIT? You'll get an ear full...professionally, of course, but an ear full nonetheless. If you are really serious about everything you have shared in this thread...you are seriously misinformed and sheltered. Most likely, I'll be at SkyWest for the duration, it's too bad I am going to have to deal with folks who actually have the views you are sharing(I think you are just flamebait...but this statement bears saying anyway) here for a long time to come.

Hey SkyWesters:

Quit coming on to these boards and telling others that they're jealous of us. They're not, and telling them that is only going to irritate them. It's fine to say that you enjoy your job, and you like the company you work for, but lose the superiority complex.

Others:

Most of the SkyWest pilots out there are not like some of these posters. Additionally, a regional airline is a regional airline: ie, a whole bunch of stuff is going to suck. Having a collective bargaining representative does not make you better than anyone else. The work rules and pay at SkyWest are among the best in the regionals.

We should all just enjoy the job we love. These mudslinging threads just make everyone look like fools...
