Still a great career

It's the only medicine there is. This profession is terminally ill and gets sicker every year.

Fight on, young soldier !

The fat cats are still giggling though............all the way to the bank.

For the forseeable future.

Now, where are those marshmellows..............
This is still a great career, $100K is a very doable income after 10 years, puts you in the upper catergories of US income with more days off than just about anyone in any other job. You never take your job home to work on the revision to the accounts payable flow, you never spend another weekend at the office to finish a project do on Monday, and you never get phone calls at 0300 to find out why the waste oil tank pump is not working. Thisis a great job, and to think you can do this without a college degree. The only really bad thing about this career is the insecurity the industry. BTW my son is a pilot and my grandson wants to follow in our steps.

What has flying skill have to do with this ?

Nothing. Air Line Pilot Career effectiveness is all political. How politically effective are you?

Stop sobbing. If ALPA was more effecitve and less lip service and dues check cashing, this industry would'nt be where it is today.

Your expectations are idealistic and weak. Who tought you to think like this?

You can argue till the cows come home that it's the lack of "unity", personal apathy and any numnber of other excuses, but from a effectivness standpoint, ALPA can't even conquer the fatigue issue that is becoming rampant. Pay, pensions and working conditions ?

I'll come back to this...

Pleeeez.....................

ALPA is a Chihuahua that sometimes barks loudy.............the airline bosses laugh whenever they do.

You are right. ALPA is a weak little dog compared to the power of Corp America and gov't. Did you ever thihnk it was ever different..... and if so..is that why you think ALPA can just snap its fingers and fix the faitgue issue ?

It's been that way for at least 15 years.

No its been that way since the 1920's when Line Pilots flew the US Mail....

Jackass

Well, there's an outside chance I'll be flying for AA, so my annual $2400 magazine subscription would then lapse.

If ALPA is a Chihuahua, then the APA is lame gerbil running through a gay bar....

In that case..... at least the APA will put a smile on some faces......

Hey Joe... if that is what turns you on and gets you out of bed in the morning (or into bed) then be your own man... or someone else's....

The rest of us are trying to protect and promote Air Line Pilot Careers...

Bankrupt post offering nothing.

I'd say "nice try", but it wasn't even that.
