Is this a old Flight Express route? What happened to Lee?

No, This is the Central Air Route (34) that used to come out of Nashville (BNA). The Federal Reserve closed in Nashville and consolidated the operation into Atlanta.

Lee (Captain) Still flies for Flight Express (FX525 and FX560).

Oh its my old run.... I met my fiance' while flying that run. Rock on CASW. I was too young in my career to appreciate it at the time though.

Lee? You guys talking about Captain Insano? I love that guy.

The mouth of the south, famous for "five and a quarter"

Even though $1700 is low, it's at least a little better than the $1500/mo for the entire six months when I was there!

How are things at CASW these days? I ran into AT a few weeks back in Wichita. He was taxiing out of AAO as I was stepping out of the plane. Wish I would've been a few minutes earlier.

The sit time in TRI is killer on this run, and I still have nightmares about that phone ringing over the loud speaker in TRI when I was trying to sleep. Does CASW have extended layover pay now?

Yes, the layover is long in TRI, but with 2 pilots sharing the route it's not so bad.

FYI...looks Like Central is also needing pilots for MKC, DAL, TUL, and GRR

At $1700 a month, good luck with that. Apparently, CASW didn't get the memo. The supply/demand equation for 1200-hour pilots has changed, in favor of the pilot side. I'm sure it will change back sooner or later, but in the short run, they will have to do something different to attract 135 airplane drivers.

Most other 135 freight-haulers have adjusted, by increasing pay and other incentives.
