Do yourself a favor - move to Netjets or another operator where you will be treated better. FLOPS is a disaster. I would bail out now because I don't see things getting that much better in the near-to-medium term. Just my suggestion.

Frac Cap that is what I have done in the past and am currently doing now. I am frustrated that Me and My flying partner are put directly in the cross heirs of an angry management team that is looking for reasons to fire people. I never have turned over an aircraft to another crew in a messy or disorderly state. And HS driver the FAA would have been very interested to know why a pilot was flying around the airplane in the state it was. One picture would have sufficed. How do you think the passengers would feel after the flight knowing the aircraft that they just flew on was in such a sorry state it required a ferry permit to get it to mx for repairs. Not very cool. I am not on a one man Jihad mission here. Be professional

Some of these write up problems could be a simple mistake.

Here is a wake up call for all you FLOPS company YES men along with all you company henchmen. From this day froward every airplane I am assigned to with blatant and obvious overlooked write ups, your gonna pay dearly. I am going to look your address and airman certificate number up at landings.com and document everything I find. Then I am going to send the evidence directly to the F.A.A. in Washington D.C. with the statement that these airmen "Knowingly and Willingly" operated this aricraft in a reckless manner. You are not doing any of us any favors. So you can spend your precious performance bonus on a high quality aviation attorney. Just like the audits at the 121 airlines you WILL be violated. So think about that the next time you turn over an aircraft you have been carrrying squawks on all week. Quit screwing the rest of us that are playing by the rules.

I hear your pain but your solution is extreme and ultimately ineffective. As someone else has said the FAA would not consider your accusations seriously and you would be viewed by them as a nut. Also as someone else has said without speaking to the crew in question you don't know what the circumstances were or even if the MX issue in question was present when they were assigned to the jet.

I am with you 100% about calling the guys out that are carrying MX issues and leaving them for others to write up. The sad reality is that no matter what the true professionals at Options say or do about these guys, their corrupted professionalism will not likely be changed. These pilots have fundamental flaws in their concept of our profession and what their professional responsibilities are.

I would suggest that you start with a phone call or email to the crew. Make sure that you are armed with accurate information before you do aything..... Forget the Feds with regard to fellow pilots..... If you see management f#cking up, by all means take the fed road..... If after contacting the crew in question you feel that they acted unprofessionally or unsafely, report it internally..... File a ASAP report, contact the safety VP and file a formal complaint, copy this to your PM and Tyler, contact our Professional Standards Committee for their help, go to the Union message board and let your fellow brothers know what the story is, who these pilots are and what they are doing.

Not one of these by its self might not have much impact or effect change in these pilots, but all of them in concert might.

Love your fire and passion for the fight my brother but be smart about it.

In fact, what the guys are doing that are carrying write ups is to deflect any attention from themselves with regards to the managers doing the firing, and instead, painting a brighter target on the backs of their fellow pilots who are having to clean up the previous crew's mess.

In essense, these crewmembers, both Captains and First Officers, that are turning their heads to doing their jobs legally, are threatening everyone else's jobs that touch the airplanes they come off of.

That should be enough to piss off all the guys that are flying legally, and the crack smokers should be publicly outed. The best way to do this is to first contact the crewmembers, to let them know you are displeased. The next step is to contact your Professional Standards Committee with the crewmembers names, regardless of what their excuse was for not writing up the items. This way, if they are BSing you with their excuse, their names will come up over and over to the Professional Standards Committee, and then that Committee can confront the crewmembers with the documentation they have accumulated on them. Suddenly, a burning feeling my come to these crewmembers if they have any brains, and that feeling will be coming from that all important ticket that allows them to fly, sitting in their back pocket.

This is how to properly hold the guys that are threatening everyone elses jobs, accountable. And if it continues, I guess the final straw would be for the Pro Standards committee to take their evidence elsewhere, but ONLY after giving the crewmembers time to change their ways, which I believe most will, if they know they are being watched.

You are probably right about the FAA. I DO know that this particular aircraft would not have passed a good ramp check, of course where is the FAA when you need them. This pilots lack of professionalism cost the company six airline tickets, lost revenue from the plane being grounded, and lost crew productivity(of two different crews as we airlined to another bird). I contacted the PIC directly and divulged my disappointment. His reply? "You know how we get busy with all the pressure and trips they give us. All I do is a brief walk around and check the fuel caps and big parts. I assumed my copilot is competent enough to perform a proper preflight." This guy deserves to be a PIC why? Do you want to know what is really eating away at me??????
When I interviewed and hired on here I was promised there would be no hip back pocket discrepancy lists carried. So now week after week I get to these aircraft where the crews not only have hip back pocket lists they are not telling me about the problems and I get to find them on my own. Like taking off hard IFR on a complicated departure procedure and dealing with a pressurization problem feeling like my head is in a vise and watching the cabin pressure swing up and down at 2000 feet a minute. All because the guy before decided he could squeeze another leg or two out of the thing. And to top it off he is being financially rewarded for this kind of behavior. These people are playing Russian roulette with my life! Where is the accountability? I am sorry some of you view me as a fanatic, but these are all worries I can live without. I guess I am asking too much to be assigned to a green aircraft that has been maintained and cared for in the same standards it was designed, manufactured, and certified to. This is the last I speak about this subject. Good luck to all of you and I hope the airplanes you are flying don't fall apart in midair.

Yes you "regular" pilots don't get to enjoy the fruits of a "big" company. We over at FLOPS....LOL......have a MDL=Maintenance Deffered List. If it cannot be put on a MEL than they just put it on a MDL. Its only a matter of time the try to MDL one of the motors, but hey its FLOPS it will happen.
