With all the internal shake ups at Flexjet, it sure is quiet. I guess nothing big is happening or, IS IT THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM!

Too many people working on their Netjets applications.
The smart ones will not make a lateral move to NetJets (unless you plan to retire there). They will sit back and watch those moving over to the greener grass; meanwhile, the rest of us at Flex will upgrade faster and patiently wait for management to make our company more competitive in the frax industry.
As I heard someone say recently.... there are some pilots that would bitch if their company mailed them a $300,000 bonus check instead of through direct deposit and they would also belly-ache because it shifted there tax bracket. Some folks you just can't please.
When did you get your last bonus check?![]()
May acutally. Has happened the past 2 years since I have been here.
I wouldn't want to jump ship to be at the bottom of seniority if things go sour...Stability is king.
How much was the check for? Was it a flat payout for everyone or was it a percentage of that person's earnings over a certain period?
It is always a percentage of that person's earnings over the year based on fuel savings, days worked, execution of performance and one other item that slips my mind. Usually around 4 to 5 %. We are getting one again this year as well.
Oddly enough, that's exactly what the pilots at TWA, Pan Am, and Eastern Airlines all said too.
All is no longer so quiet. A new chief pilot is in our future. Change is coming, whether we like it or not.

RH is gone, it is about time. Fly the line and your eyes will open up. He will not last one year.
My concern now is who will replace him. Hopefully someone who is a good liason between pilots and management. Personally I am pulling for KS.
So what u saying is that we should start typing and forwarding our resumes to NJ and that will be the best descision ever???
Wow, nothing like wishing someone well. Remember what comes around goes around. I hate to see anyone lose their job.

That's not even remotely what I'm saying...way to put words in my mouth.
What I am saying is that its very easy in this industry to get lulled into a false sense of security just because you've accumulated seniority. The attitude that "I can't leave this company and start over at the bottom of someone else's list" can be a very dangerous attitude to have. People should weigh all of the facts when making a decision about their livelihoods and those of their families, and make the best decision accordingly.
I'm not implying anything specific about any company being discussed on this board, just making an observation about a familiar sentiment.
Hey I'm not saying "good riddance" to RH and he got what he deserved. I'm saying that I hope he gets thrown back into OUR reality quickly so he will realize what it is we've all been complaining about. He is a good person...
