all you care about is your quick upgrade. even though you have experience under an ALPA regime, your thoughts and opinions don't count, because you don't see the whole picture. wait 'til you've been here for a few years, then you'll be as crusty, cranky, leftist, anti-capitalist as the rest of us.

I volunteered to sit reserve the other day when we were 'below min staffing' and they said they were fine on reserves...WTF?


The red arrow only means below mins for that domicile. If they were below mins company wide then they probably would of taken your offer.
 
or take a better contract with some quality of life benefits, a 5% raise, plus Cola at a minimum of 1% a year and invest at a 5% return and have a million. I don't understand why people don't believe that skywest could score an industry leading contract. we have the money. I think a guy named Brad got 10 million last year? It is worth a try people. worse comes to worse, when we vote ALPA in we have our current contract locked in immediatly until a new TA can be voted on.

are you on the OC? are you promising a 5% raise if it's voted in? are you promising a 1%COLA? are you promising that ALPA will somehow FORCE Brad and the company into sharing more of the pie? how long until we get these things?

the problem is we can't 'just vote it in and see what happens.' there is no trial period, no money back if not satisfied.

I'll bet that when we do get a contract (years away, and of course NOTHING will change in the interim, except we'll pay dues) that it'll be less than what we have now in some areas, more in others, but overall a worse deal. and the OC crowd will say 'hey, it's our first one. we'll iron out the rough spots next time.'
 
All of you anti-ALPA guys think about this: Jerry ain't gonna be there forever. One day he's going to take his millions and retire and leave all of the headaches to someone else. The next guy could be an A#1 sphinctor. Then what are you going to do?:(
 
Jerry already has very little to do with the day to day operations. anyone in SGU will tell you that they see him less and less often, and that has been the case for a number of years. He groomed RR to run the show. Now that he is gone, it already is the higher ups that are running the show. Has been for awhile.

JO at Mesa is an A#1 sphincter. They've had ALPA for a long time. what are they doing about him?

Lots of negativity. For those of us that used to work at union carriers...we know exactly what ALPA will do for you; dittly.

Listen to people that came here from other ALPA carriers...we didnt' all get together one day and make up a bunch of bs stories.

For those of you that think this company will be better if ALPA comes here, I think you will be in for a bit of a suprise.

right. that's from people I've talked to who live there or work at HQ. I've never even been to HQ.

I don't know. You seem to bash the ALPA drive quite a bit but yet don't seem to be able to produce a realistic alternative. It kind of reminds me of when I am talking to a member of management or certain SAPA reps. Should I be suspicious? Are you a SAPA rep?
