He broke the confidentiality agreement that you have to sign to be a member of the airtranpilots.org message board by copying and distributing posts from the board. That's a big no-no on Brad's website. Everyone that posts there expects it to stay on that site and not be distributed elsewhere. Not exactly the kind of honesty and leadership example that I expect from a union President.

Can you relay any details? Who did he distribute this to?

To all those who have not voted - this is EXTREMELY important to our future. Go vote. Tell your friends to vote. Lets make sure we are heard.

On a personal note, I voted for Mike Best.

Well, the email that Brad sent out says "public distribution approved," so I think it's ok to talk about it outside of his forum. Basically, JS was "offended" about some of the stuff said about him on the forum, so he is considering it libel and slander and sent copies of the posts to the Dept of Labor and to the NPA. I'm not sure what he hopes to gain from it, but it's definitely a violation of his confidentiality agreement, so Brad disabled his account. Not sure if Brad is pursuing legal measures, but it doesn't sound like it based on the email.

Not sure what you mean by him failing. If you mean at the negotiating table, the failures happened when Alan joined in and gave away the house. Mike wanted no part of that and let Alan go down in flames by himself.
...no...in his everyday life...

anyone know where to view the infamous scab list? The one on fracpilot.org is not working and I can't seem to find it by searching the internet.

Brad hasn't pursued anyone legally... yet... even though there have been several confidentiality agreement breaches in the last several months.

Needless to say, I think Schroll signed his own candidacy resignation... What a mess.

I just voted online for Mike. Very easy decision.

Now, if we can just get him paired up with an equally emphatic and visionary Vice Presidential candidate, we are going to be sitting very nice indeed. We'll know who those candidates will be soon enough.

...Best may write well...it's when he totally craps out of his mouth, he fails...as demonstrated...

"as demonstrated", "in his everyday life" what exactly do you mean? You have made two posts in this thread without actually adding anything meaningful to the conversation. If you just don't like the guy, but you do not have a reason other than your gut, than say that. If you have a specific reason than let us know. So far all you have managed to convince me of is you don't have anything useful to add. Make an actual point or let the rest of us debate the subject with real information.

Yet another potential law suit he will expect the membership to pay for.

You know, this is exactly why I haven't sued the NPA as of yet...

They've trashed my name, outright lied about things with absolutely ZERO proof, libeled me to the entire pilot group and the company but, in the end, I would be basically taking money from the pilots just for my own moral issues and anger, and that's just not right.

Now, if the Association were to completely STOP representing me with the issues I have (like they apparently did with the pilot who just won his initial suit in Orlando over taking his case STRAIGHT to Federal Court outside of the grievance process), we'd have a different animal - a DFR suit, which they have insurance for and I would have no real choice.

I think they could be doing a better job with my representation and they need to represent me on related issues but, as long as they fix them and represent me, I believe it would be unethical to sue to take what amounts to other pilot's dues money just because I was mad about what they said about me.

I disagree strongly with Schroll's actions.

"Public Figure"

Don't know if this pertains but it would seem to me if an individual puts their name in the ring for a position requiring a democratic process, they have effectively made themself a "public figure" and thereby waiving some of their rights. Coupled with the fact that the exchange of information is on a private forum with non-disclosure agreements signed (which he knowingly and willingly joined) don't really see where this will accomplish anything.
Don't walk on the beach if you don't want to get sand in your toes, and don't run for a public office if you don't want people to scrutinize your every move.
Hopefully this will not mire the pilot group in any frivolous lawsuits.
Vote for a stonger NPA, educate yourself and vote. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem with your apathy.

In my opinion allowing a scab to become president of a pilots union is akin to allowing a draft dodger to become part of the Veterans of Foreign Wars...or have we become so crappy as a society and country that it doesn't matter to us anymore?

Thanks for the name calling and personal attack in your PM. It makes it that much easier to put your "casual observations with diatribes" into perspective. If you would like to attack me based on something I have written here, feel free. If you would like to attack me based on things I have done or said in the "real" world, I welcome that as well. The problem is, you don't know me. Making assumptions about who I am or how connected I am only weakens your arguments.
