Spirit's new mins :

2000 TT
250 multi (350 on airlineapps.com)
500 PIC
1000 turbine

good luck to everyone

In june, unofficial mins were 5000 TT 3-4000 turbine pic, jet and FMS experience.

In September, they went down at 3500 TT, Jet and FMS experience.

I wonder whats going on

Guess they are not getting the numbers they need........going to 32 a month soon.

Is that just 1000 total turbine time, not pic? Been trying for awhile to get an interview and I thought I had the right interal recs.

wheres the 500 pic and 1000 turbine?? dont see it here?

Why the drop in minimums? Are they expecting people who are from DTW to try for/go to NWA, to avoid a commute?

Is it even realistic to get an interview with those mins? (there are still plenty of well qualified pilots around)

NOt expecting a huge drop in DTW resignations......I think the drop is due to future growth. Get a rec and you will be fine with those mins.

The drop could be related to Spirit not being able to find enough "qualified" candidates. "Qualified" meaning someone who is willing to work under Spirit's new "we don't want anyone who might know enough to resist our attempts to make Spirit an Ornstein cloned commuter airline". It COULD be that, because it doesn't seem to have anything to do with an actual shortage of qualified candidates. We've all seen posts by our brother FI'rs with better quals who can't get a Spirit interview. Maybe it's better that way, those overqualifed for Spirit probabally would not fit into their new culture like the 300 hour wonders.

I did hear that the 300 hour wonders do great as instructors tho :-(
