Does anyone know why Piedmont no longer has the .pdf pilot application on their website? It was just there a few days ago.

On another note, I saw that their published mins were just a multi commercial. I know everyone talks about this, but do people with merely a wet CMEL actually get hired, or just able to submit their apps?

i'm actually going to put in a referral form for someone with 300 hrs and 9 multi. actually achieved a rating with 9 hours. amazing.

Apply with a Multi Comm, can't hurt. I've heard we hire as low. As for the application, the fax machine in SBY doesn't work half the time, why would anything else?

i think everything in sby is useless. we got a re-route for philly (airborne) and figured we'd call dispatch to see if the POS selcal would work. they couldn't figure out how much extra fuel we would need because we already took off. told us to "monitor your fuel situation". thanks dips$#t!

What is the junior base at PDT right now?

EDIT: On another note, of the domicile cities, which is the nicest to live in (not taking commuting into account)?

Haha that's funny! The other day we where on the ground at PHL with a re-route to CRW. Now with a 425 mile route we figured we should call dispatch. They said it would take them ten minutes, just go. The Cap said "no!" Dispatch said just put in in your KNS. We said F-it and went. We where just going to land at PIT and get more fuel. Yes PIT that's how far out of the way this was. We got direct ten minutes later.

Yes I did file an ASAP for taking off without knowing the min fuel.

And you can't monitor your fuel situation?

I learned early on when I upgrade that you are on your own! Theres a hand full of good dispatchers, and that it! I usually tell them how to do there job! But if you can't manage your own fuel you have problems!!!!

I am with M2 however! You should know your Min. Fuel before departing! But when your airborne all those numbers go out the window!

of course we can manage our own fuel and we knew that we were fine. took off with some extra and could actually hold if we had to. it's just amazing that in 2007 we have absolutely zero technology helping us. "just go" that is crazy. are they hiring dipatchers right out of high school now? they must be making a ridiculous amount of money off of us because they don't invest anything into pdt.

Pay for Dispatchers is crap ,so you get what you pay for. Remember, they're not ther because the comany wants them. They're there because the FAA requires them.
