I think their SLC base has a domestic 757/767 base. Any international flying would be done with NY or ATL based 767ER pilots...

Could easily be a 767-400 out of LAX or ATL.

I wish you success!

haven't heard this one.

What I have heard:

2 757ERs have arrived. They will be put into service in domestic configuration initially--probably some Hawaii, then will enter international service starting Jan 1. 13 of them will be up in JFK doing UK, western and northern Europe. Perhaps even some new cities--thin cities.

JFK-Tel Aviv will be announced.

Delta is expecting to be awarded ATL-Bejing, and perhaps Shanghai as well as part of the contingency of Bejing. Should be official sometime in Sept.

Fleet of 777s will double in the next 2-3 years. Also looking at some existing 777s from other carriers. Definitely 4 777s next year coming. Cairo is a candidate.

100 seater a problem. No good options. 737-700 lite version is being worked on with boeing. Derated engines, certain equipment left off to make it perform similar to emb a/c with same type rating.

Negotiations continue to acquire 13-23 or 24 md 90s in next couple of years as a stopgap 100 seater in exchange for rjs.

10 737-700s for sure starting to arrive 1 year from now. Total of 32-33 a/c over next 2-3 years

ATL--PVG (Shanghai) was their first application, for March of 2008. They also have announced they would like Beijing for the 2009 allocation. (along with many other airlines) I think Shanghai is for 2008. JFK to Tel Aviv was already announced too. That starts next spring with a 767-300ER.

Isn't that a 737-600?

Are they still making those? Why wouldn't have Southwest bought them if they were a good option? They dumped their 737-200s, and the 736 would have been a good option, but instead got all 737-700s. Maybe other airlines see the same thing. The operational costs are probably the same.

Great highschool response. You have nothing to add I guess.

What do you want people to say? Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is wonderful!!!!!!!! Where do I sign up??????

Give me a break! Ok, you're going to Paris from SLC. CAL does that as well from EWR And IAH. AA does it as well from JFK and DFW. We get it, you're drinking the DAL propoganda kool-aid. 99% of folks traveling nowadays care about 1 thing - what is the cheapest ticket on orbitz? It could be CAL, DAL, AA, or Air Bangladesh.

Ok that's my "addition."

If you don't like it, then don't click on the thread. I am interested to hear these routes...as well as AA and CAL. Why so bitter?
