Do you guys have Midland layovers? I'm thinking about leaving Southwest for Delta, since I can hold the ER, anyways I think I'll really miss the Texas flying. Can I still do some Texas flying at Delta?

Will you get that refund back for that type rating?

Congrats on the bid. I know you'll enjoy it for a while. The downside is it will take a tremendous toll on your physical health. I can't think of anything worse than droning around the world in a widebody. Glad there are young guys that want to do it.

We have day trips too, on all of the airplane types. We also have options on what aircraft to fly. Do you?

Bye Bye--General Lee

Come on guys....Neener neener neener, my airlines better than your's. I thought those days were over....Guess not...:crying:
Oh yeah, my bad, this is FI

looks like there are still about 100 ER opening after this AE. Will they look for displacement to it or will they put the new hires in there? It is something that I am sure will be interesting for them to figure out.

they can't displace someone to fill a vacancy. You can only be displaced if your category is shrinking or going away. Even then, its your choice where to go, not the companies. I suspect they will put out another bid very quickly to see if anyone bites on the unfilled slots, maybe waive some seat locks in case there is anyone who wanted it but was frozen. Beyond that, I think we will see new hires on the ER.

When I was in training they said the newhire footprint for the 767 program will be up and running in August.

I can see all those stinkin places from the comfort of my living room on DVD without all the hassle of going intl. At least in ELP they have great mexican food and nobody is trying to kill ya!

ahhhhhhhhh.... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah.... sure, the DVD. That's the same.

Kind of like a passenger saying they can do our job 'cause they flew MS Flight Simulator.

Are grapes sour or are you really that ignorant?

Jealous? No. I've lived in Australia, New Zealand, the far east and I have visited Europe. If I ever need to see those places again I can get a pass on your airline and make you fly me over there. As for me, I have the greatest gig there is, all day trips and home every nite. My kids know me, does yours???

Of course you are home everynight! When I instructed private pilots I was home every night also! You can trash it all you like, but you know that insults are the true expressions of jealousy!

Midland Texas! What a great place! I was born and raised there!
