Absnence of DOH doesn't make much a difference given the current state of affairs, especially at USAir. Added to that Cabotage and age 65 right around the corner. Only about 200 east furloughs out of 1500 thought the job still had good enough prospects to accept recall. I can't imaginge that DOH would have sweetened the pot enough to entice too many more than that.

The real test of pilots accepting recall will be the progress of contract negotiations. USAir ALPA has a proven track record in that regard.

Happy Flying:)

Wow... This is gonna be really interesting.

First look seems like it pretty much went the West's way. I'll have to read the whole thing to see the truth though.

Actually, It was just the opposite... Blended DOH, but east furloughs retain DOH above AWA guys and fenced off wide body jets for 10 yrs.

Wrong. Furloughed gentleman are all below the most junior AWA guy. 4 year fence DipSh&t. Learn how to read.

6520 Total on list, bottom AWA guy #4769. Looks like all MDA people to the bottom of the list(about 100 slots). I'm a 10/98 and got blended with a 5/86.

How long until the first lawsuit is filed? I bet Vegas is laying odds on it already.

The first 517 slots belong to East guys. I believe there is a four year fence for A330 (and B767??). Ratioed in various ways after that. The rest you've read above.

The new rumor is a UAL merger.....Holy Crap!

Yeah, and DOH won't be a consideration.

Sure, why should parker try to run an airline. Its a lot easier to destroy 3 company's now then try to run the abortion he has on his drunk hands!
Those poor UAL people!

IMO, this is a windfall for the West guys...so much for arbitrations.

I was fence sitting on going back to Airways....but based on age 65 and this reach around....you won't see me returning.

Best of luck to my East buds. You got screwed and you deserved much better consideration.

Let me be the first to ask that all former TWA guys now at HP scream bloody murder and demand this injustice be overturned by the courts or Kit Bond. Second, I request all former TWA guys start spinning wild conspiracy theories about fake BK's, back room deals with ALPA and bought off judges. Third, I demand all former TWA guys start talking about how the old USAir was a great model of airline operations that was just days away from making butt loads of cash and HP ruined a well oiled machine out of arrogance and jealousy.

Windfall? as a Westie my relative seniority position has declined as a result of the award, I am further from upgrade today than I was two years ago, mainly as a result of protecting the wide body flying for the easties. Am I happy about that, NO. But overall I think the award is more or less fair.

yeah not only was it a windfall for west it was a windfall for Jetblue and other carriers that hired many u furloughs - no carrier has to worry about a mass exodus of former U guys taking recall now.
