1. Depends on your qualification. Interview to class about a months to two
2. JFK is automatically your first domicile, you can bid otherwise at your discretion
3. Sept 06 A320 hires holding a line. its about 2 months on the E190
Other.....
Min 12 days off on Reserve
70 Hr. Gar. Line / 75 Reserve
$47.00 / Hr 1st year on both planes
150% pay for any flying over 70 hrs.
upgrade 2 1/2 yrs on E190, 5-6 yrs on A320
When they send the 190's back to Brazil and replace them with 319's, upgrades will go back to about two years.
You have really got to stop spreading this rumor about 5-6 year A320 CA upgrades. I have it from very reputable sources that most will upgrade at 2-3 years.

Riiiight....believe it to...If you were hired just over a year ago, As I was, you will not hold 320 cap for at least 3-4 more years......do the math and you can figure that out on your own
I am going past 13 months and I expect it to be 2011 or 2012 before I can get 320 CA based on the current deliveries. Then reserve will be for another few years. If the 319 for 190 rumor happens then there might be some stagnation as the turnover happens and it could get worse.
misery loves company, I think you and the German Chef should fly together!

Is the whole 319/170 swap real discussion or is that just wishful thinking?
Again--I R pilot, not airline exec...but even with some sweet 170 deals the abilty to have 1 type rating, a homogenous work force, and simpler mx has got to be a lot easier and more efficient...
Strickly rumor. Just like Delta interested in buying us. Lots of talk, but no solid evidence.
Actually they are 190s.
Dogwood, they are actually 180s, hahaha.
On a serious note I hope their trip to the BNA plant fixes all of those issues, but from a good friend of mine last week (190 CA) ... not so much. Who knows. I heard that the future of Embraer is riding on this plane, meaning they will do WHATEVER it takes to keep 'em at jb. Like pay our FOs for example.
This rumor is pretty pathetic IMHO. The Delta one is as well, so why do I keep flying with captains telling me that it has legs?
Now you got the hang of it! Those hair plugs are giving you lots of confidence.
It's not misery, it's reality. Upgrades ain't what they used to be. Nuff said. I am having a blast here lately at jetblue. An underpaid blast, but a blast nonetheless.
dang I thought I had the judge Napolitano look down and now you have done gone blown my cover...dang! BTW you can be having a blast and still be one negative SOB...![]()
My forecast, for what it's worth, is that the major issues will be resolved with the airplane, and we will have it on the property for a long time. After all, it's just an airplane. A pair of wings, and a pair of motors. How complicated can that be?
Having two fleet types is that that much of a problem. A common type rating throughout your fleet, may save you a little, but not that much.
I would have liked to have seen an all bus fleet, but we are where we are.
Spoke with a VP two weeks ago in an informal setting. He stated that they want the Embraer to work because the money to be made from its markets are astronomical and Embraer wants these issues gone. He said it is no secret that they are just as serious about dropping them if Embraer doesn't get it right. He said there is no timeline but that customers deserve the service they've come to expect and that does have a timeline.
I have also heard that our vp of ops has said that if they knew then what they know now, they would have never bought that 190.
That's what you say in divorce mediation too, right!
