Well I'm not getting ahead of myself on the recalls, It's just that it has gone through pretty quick, but kinda sucks as it's currently stalled at 2 numbers above me......HAHAHA.....

And I realize the result of the arbitration will change or make up alot of peoples minds as to what they do. hence, hoping it runs down the list quite a bit to at least get back on property at grp II or better, prior to the next recall. As the next recall, they once again start at the top of the list, and we have to wait for it to come down.

The higher ups don't know what life is like on $40,000/year.

The hire ups don't care. There will be THOUSANDS of pilot applications when U has to hire off the streets to fill the 190 positions. We are our own worst enemy.

6/21/99 hire date.

Got called yesterday for a May 21st re-hire class.

Airbus, 737 and 757/767 offered in the class.

Bypassed.

For what it's worth.

John,
So when you got "the letter", you told them that you intended to accept recall, and when they actually called you then bypassed? I didn't think that was kosher. How did they take it?

ALPO indicated that there might be some kind of negative response by the company if someone did that.

I bypassed when I got the letter and, of course, never got an actual call for a classdate.

MW DOH 1/99

Man, they've been through nearly 1000 pilots to get 160 recalls to classes offering the Group 2s and the 757! Will they find anyone on the APL to fly the 190?

When I saw the 757 and 767 go to recalls I cant help but wonder... what would I have gotten if I had accepted the class.

(Will kick myself if it's the 767)

Shiney Jet Syndrome!!!

No you won't. This will all work out the way it is supposed to be. We will all have our last and final chance. Until then... 18 months on the 767, only to be bumped off at the next hiccup is no place to be.

To ask pilots to return to US Airways now without a solid seniority list in place and a single contract is absolute madness.

More waste.

well the safe bet would be to expect to come back off furlough on the bottom of the list. That is GENERALLY how it works in the industry. Of course you just might come back senior to 70% of AWA captains and all of our fo's. You never know.

Green:

Get a life  , nobody is expecting to come back senior to AWA captains. Go peddle your crap by that rock you crawled out from under.
