US AIR New Uniform question

Hey Mainline guys, just wondering if you guys have been given the order forms to order the new uniforms from H&M. I work for PSA and over here we got them last week. The company THINKS they are going to take it out of our Uniform allowance... SOOO I was just wondering if the same thing is going on at mainline or is the company footing the bill.

First it's M&H uniform, 2nd. Mainline doesn't have a yearly uniform allowance. and 3rd. Mainline is Paying for the first set of uniforms. 2 slacks, jacket, etc etc... Don't know if it includes leather jacket or the regular blazer. Probably the blazer.

At PSA the word out is don't order them until the company pays for the the longer we take to order them more pressure it will put on them to pay

Yes, we get the blazer (which I never wear).

On the West side we're told to order them but to not wear them until we get a contract. This makes more sense since the Company actually has to pay for the stuff.

The Tie, who knows.. the first proposal was ugly.....Black with silver and blue stripes....Something from the 70's....refuse to wear it.

M&H makes the NWA uniforms, and I like 'em!

I just ordered one with a flap in the rear of the trousers so Steenland can "impose" without it causing me another trip to the dry cleaners.

Got the order form in my v file today....there was a spot for the leather jacket but nothing for a blazer. I guess I wont have a coat next winter if I decide to wear the new uniform at all.

Us Airways does pay for the uniform (atleast for the AWA pilots). New color will be black. Not sure when we're going to start wearing them though.....

US Airways east will pay for 1 jacket, 2 pairs of pants one tie.

The uniform stripes look like sh*t and I predict there will be a change in the striping in the future.

No one, either East or West will wear the uniform until we get a contract.

I think what the issue is, is the PSA pilots got the order form in their files. And the only option for a blazer, was the leather jacket. I would imagine if you call M/H they could/would do a blazer, typical of PSA, clueless...

Might want to get your hearing checked because you "heard" wrong. It's the blazer,not the leather jacket that the company is footing the bill for.

And again I'll say, This was a PSA guy asking the original question. As far as I know, PSA has said nothing about footing the bill for replacement uniforms for these guys. They get a yearly allowance, but that's supposed to be for replacement/upkeep etc.... The forms they got in their boxes, do not have a blazer as a listed option. Mgmt hasn't or didn't see fit to have these guys go get fitted by M/H while they were making the rounds at the bases. Just basically a form in the v-files saying....here order your new uni's......

We don't have a uniform allowance, but are trying to switch to one. Currently we have a yearly uniform allotment(shirts, pants etc.)
The only real battle was getting the company to pay for hats which are optional to wear.
