I saw a poster up in the CLT crew room about a CC Air Reunion. I use to see these guys fly into AHN all the time when I was CFIing. Just had a few questions. What were there bases? What else did they fly besides the J-32, the Dash? How many pilots did they have? Union or Non-Union. Thanks.

1. CLT, AHN, LYH, RDU, TLH, ISO and lots of other podunk towns in the south.
2. At the end just the Junkstreem and Dash8. Before that the Shorts.
3. Around 200+ in the hey day.
4. Yes, ALPA (and a VERY good contract. The reason Mesa shut them down)

Dude, you forgot HKY, LEX, RWI, PGV, AGS, OAJ(can't remember Jacksonville,NC) and GNV. That's all that I can think of.

Thanks! Where did they fly to out of TLH?
Ahh CCAIR. I had the most fun ever working there. That all changed when Mesa bought us. I was TLH based for a few months. From TLH we flew to CLT, MIA and FLL. Long legs were the norm. We would fly TLH-CLT-OAJ-CLT-TLH and that was a full day. Due to those high block lines we had plenty of days off.

Awww Bean - the sound of both engines NTS-ing at different times because of bad rigging...........the good ole days.

Now THAT was a true V1 cut my friend :)

I liked the jball! Didn't fly for CC, know some who did and jumpseated with them.

Also raced them from RDU to CHS...and then would hold the hotel van for them! And they'd return the favor on the times that Midway didn't get us kicked out on time!

How bout it for the Chicken!!

I used to fly at the Chicken from 86-92 on the Jetscreamer. I used to be known as Alf. Working at the Chicken was the biggest party ever! Anyone remember the Post Hurricane Hugo Halloween Party? I still get phone calls about that. Oh the good ole days from the original D Con in CLT when it was plyboard everywhere.

Anyone heard from the Ratman, Chief, After Burner, Boner, Beets (Beetle Bailey), Fudgepacker, Conway, #1, Honey Rob, Bubba, Layton, Melton, and the rest of the Hee Haw Gang?

If there is a reunion, I'm in!

How bout it!!!!

Godfather, ex-chicken driver from way back when

Beetle Bailey was my ground school instructor on the Dash, The Commander is at FlexJet or Citationshares, I can't remember. #1 is at Pace hitting 60 later this year. Norm retired and does home inspections. The Root Doctor retired and is in construction. Two Dollar is at Airtran and Freebird is at NetJets. And Fred Flintstone is flying charter out of JQF. That's all I can think of for now. Oh Maestro is flying corporate out of EQY and Maddog is at UPS.
