In all fairness to Mr. Hall, I had a certification issue recently that Scott went out of his way to help me with. Long story short, the examiner that did my ATP kinda dropped the ball in getting my paperwork in, and the FAA thought I was presenting a forged temporary certificate for my SIC type ride. A big hassle that could have gotten much, much uglier if Scott hadn't helped me out. I'm new here, but he seemed like a straight up guy to me.

Just a little piece of addvice I would change your name on this board because you know SH looks at this stuff and he now knows who you are.

He helped me too when I REALLY needed it. I have to thank the man for that! I'd buy him a beer.

Ok I'll take some crap for this buuuuttttttt...........
I don't agree with some of the memos Scott puts out pertaining to negotiations but for the must part he has done more for ASA pilots than anyone since Dan Waters.
When allowed to do what a system chief pilot is supposed to do he is great at it. If there is anyone to get pissed at I would focus my anger or attention towards his boss "King Tutt". This guy needs to have a knee cap broken, along with "Broke Back Brian" and "Yo Tony Dinota" These former Deltoids have come to ASA and done nothing but rule with an iron fist. They suck at their respective positions (they've held many) and continue to lack the ability to LEAD our company. There is so much potential of what ASA is capable of but they are too busy tryin to "keep a brother down" (all employee groups included) they aren't able to get the troops in order to do the jobs they were hired to perform.
Whenever Skywest Inc. grows a set and brings in some new talent that can LEAD this airline (mainly by example) they might start reeping better operational performance and in the long run more $$$.

Very true!

Maybe.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not saying anything here that I wouldn't say in the crew lounge. If I think Scott, or anyone else at the company, has helped me out, I'll say so. If I think that someone did a good job at something, or could have done a better job at something else, I'll say so. If I think someone screwed up, I'll say so, to them.

Praise in public, critique in private. This is why I called Mr. Hall out by name when mentioning an issue I recently had that turned out favorably.

Sometimes I think the anonymity of this flightinfo thing is kinda childish.

Scott's a hired hand... he's going to do what he's told. Tutt and LeBrecque are the ones pulling the strings. I don't really listen to what he has to say about the contract because I've heard it all before.

One thing though, he has gotten some stuff done for the pilot group. Before him, his predecessors would talk a good game and not deliver (remember the PDAs for weight and balance?). Whether Scott is ultimately responsible for things like CASS or Aerodata I don't know, but they did happen on his watch.

Scott and Charlie both come here with good reputations and a background of getting things done, and they've both worked hard on the changes that have taken place here. What holds them back are some of the old hold-outs like our pres, VPs of HR and inflight, and the well-known the flight crew haters in the GO, such as WH, BM and GG. And MP's payroll has an agenda of ripping off all employess, not just the flight crews. If SKYW would ever finally replace these leftovers, we could finally start making some progress as a company.

I agree with Sinca also. If that is the real Scott Hall, I called you with a 52 minute sit on the ramp last week. We need talk again.
- The ramp is exactly the same as before. The rampers just sit on their cans and watch you sit there waiting to be parked. We're late for what ever reason (Imagine that) and they don't have lighted wands any more. It's the same joke as before on the ramp.
- I flew with 2 very senior Captains the last 2 days and they don't even know how to start the acars pay. I had one Capt say the door is closed and were getting paid. I looked down and the dang brake wasn't released.. WERE NOT GETTING PAID. I told him he needed to release the brake. He released it 2 minutes late and said, OH WELL, SCREW IT. Great attitude.
- Going to love the moral now that Lax is closed. We're really going to be upbeat now. If you don't know me by now, just call.
- I will let you buy me lunch and we can go watch some moron rampers one day and watch the joke that goes on out there.

Dead wrong on the CT side. He is a Delta hatchet-man sent here to be sure their will was done. He has done absolutely nothing to improve our operation.

Somewhere is a really long list of things which were wrong with ASA before delta bought us, before CT came along, and before Skywest bought us. That list hasn't changed very much.

Hopefully someone at Delta, who gives a crap about something but cheap lift, reads this and decides to make the investment it would take to stop subjecting their passengers to our subpar service. Maybe their solution will be to burn the place down, before the pilots do it for them.

But of course they'll still be stuck with the same crappy facilities and ATL workforce. And they'll be right back where they started.

Hey DELTA!!! Stop sending your rejects over here!!! Tell Skywest to fire the GO and import some freakin MORMON business types to make some changes. Let Brother Jebidiah crap a whip out here and pay a decent wage!! AND maybe you could install a terminal that freakin works!!! AND how about some ground equipment while your at it???

NahHHHHHHH. That would be stupid!! Just leave it the way George and John left it and then sit back and gripe about how terrible ASA is!!

You Morons!!!

When are you gonn get that ASA is whatever Delta makes it?? No more. No less!!

there

Honestly, I do like Scott Hall. He is the only one that I know that I can go to and either call or corner in the hall way and not get called to the carpet over something stupid at this company.
Scott is a Manager and I understand that. That is why I just bitc* to him. Are things going to change because an fo has something to say... NOT ON YOUR LIFE.
Honestly, if you look past the Manager part of scott, he is actually a very nice person to talk to. He has signed papers saying that he cannot reveal every thing, I understand that too, but let's be real about some things.
GET THEM dang RAMPERS OFF THEIR ASSES AND GET US PARKED.

I appreciate all the good comments. I am doing all I can for this pilot group and appreciate what you do for the company.

Common guys, give the guy a break.. I remember being at ASA during the George and John era.. it's come a long way since then. Even though I don't work there anymore, I'll go on a limb and say the problem with ASA isn't the pilot management (like it used to be when the likes of PY were in the CP's office), but the market (or lack thereof) they're in.. there was a time when I used to say there are too many RJ's and nobody would listen.. then came the RJ defense fund, or what ever... now we're in a supply and demand mess, and there are RJ's parked in the desert with more on their way.. Thank the likes of MESA for the mess we're in.. the world is being taken over by $50/year average wage RJ's with 100+ seat models in production.. when the growth should really be on the mainline.

When airline managers (the CEO level) learn to manage growth properly and not recklessly like DAL did when they acquired ASA, then maybe there is going to be a chance for a long term viable business model.

scott cant fix the ramp - he has no control over that - either way, it's been consistently better than any time i can remember it in the last 11 years the last few months.

ct has never flown an rj, or a 120, or an atr. he has probably been on the j/s a few times, at best - yet he is a regional industry expert. asa is plagued by many of the same folks in management that have always been there - other than bl, ad and ct, every other vp and manager has been there for a decade or more, including flight ops with the sole exception of sh.

Don't really know Scott that well, but he seems to be instrumental in some of the new programs at ASA (CASS, aerodata)

One thing for sure, he is in the crew room more than BL and CT combined, which I respect, especially during tense times.

Did anyone from management come to the LAX crew lounge? I didn't see anyone. I heard that it was closing from an intern in ATL.

I give him credit for being accessible and going face to face with pilots trying to answer questions. Sure he stares at the roof or the floor when you talk to him...but at least he is there trying to answer questions. How much power/pull does he have with the contract anyways? Probabaly none or very little.

Well, he really didn't have a hard act to follow, did he?

Scott, if you have your ears on, just wandering, do you fly home builts?

OK,

I have sat by and watched the posts from Scott Hall. They are amusing and funny, BUT NOT ME. I have so many people asking if it is me that I finally had to create an account and set the record straight. I am the real Scott. I do not plan on answering questions from people, just wanted to make sure everyone knew that the other was a fake.
Keep up the good work and remember that if we dont grow we die. We need to stay competitive.

Scott

Scott,

How many more days will Brian last before he is shown the backdoor?
According to a quote by Jerry Grinstein in a recent forum, Brian is running a company that is tarnishing the Brand!
