Another brillant idea from ASA! G/O, gate agents, rampers etc can now ride the JS to "observe" what we go through? Like they even care to begin with. I'm not in too much of a cooperative mood right now being the company wants to pay me 8-10 dollars less than my peers. Can you say "silent treatment" when they come onboard? And, what if we have a pilot JSer? Who rides then?

The Company Does Not Pay Us What We're Worth!

Well, I won't bump a pilot for this, but I will humor SH and participate. It could be entertaining. We can finally give back some of that southern hospitality/Atlanta-tude :)

RJMan,
Can you show me on ALPA's comparison chart where the company proposal is "8-10 dollars less than your peers"? I don't see it. In fact the 700 rates are higher than everyone on those charts, especially the 700 FO rates. The 50 seat rates are short on the captain side, but not "8-10 dollars less".

Is that even legal?

Well, look at the top rate on the 200 Joey. $82 for ASA, Chat $99, Eagle $94 etc.

OK, I looked at the top 200 rate on the company proposal, did you? It is $89 at year 18, not $82 as you are implying. Did you look at the 700 comparision? Did you look at the FO comparison? Are you familiar with the term "cherry picking"? Did you notice that second year FOs are making more under our current contract than XJT, CHQ, and Eagle FOs?

Are you familiar with the term "cherry picking"? ?

Learned alot of that from you Joey, and your coalition.:)
Yeah, guess I should've used 89 though. My bad. But others are in the mid to upper $90 range Joey!

JoeMerchant, You going to the dark side?

Sorry I don't subscribe to EITHER side being the "dark side". Just trying to get accurate information out there so that people can make EDUCATED decisions vs. EMOTIONAL decisions.

For example, if I say "the company offer still puts us dead last" in pay, I would want to burn this place down. However when I look at ALPA's own comparison chart, look at what all other carriers get, and look at the rest of the contract, I get a different perspective.

Credit goes out to ALPA for putting the numbers out there for us to look at. That is a much needed improvement. It is now the job and the responsibility of the membership to educate themselves on the true numbers.

It sounds like you're getting antsy. What, do you miss the shirt and tie? Just shoulder boards ain't cutting it anymore? It's the funny hat and coat isn't it? Trust me, you're not going to get any more p***y walking down the terminal with the funny hat ;)
