I have seen the begining of the end....I have really. Recently I had the pleasure of talking to one of the Skybus recruiters. I was curious as I had never seen them before. After talking to the recruiter I had to run away quickly to find someplace to hurl! Get this 65,000 dollars to fly an Airbus as Captain! Go-Jets pays more than they do. Mesa would look down at those guys. When I questioned how they could get away with paying those rates they told me that they would also give stock options, PLUS!!! it is going to be a really "Happy" place to work. The whole airline is going to run on Happiness!! Please if any respectable pilot out there is thinking about it dont. The airlines are really turning around this time. There will be movement all over. Please do not stoop to this new low. I think they require something like 5000 total plus jet time to go there. If you have that kind of time your crazy to go there. Farg Skybus and the management they rode in on!!

I do know, from a very reliable source, that they are not having trouble finding applicants or individuals to interview.

I guess the end is here.

That's why line pilots at major airlines need to insist that they are part of the interviewing process. That way they can put a stop to these guys who go to companies like Skybus and Virgin Am. from EVER moving on to a real airline and making a respectible living.

Only then will the true blood shed stop.

No more "well I can suck it up for a year or two, get valuable Airbus time and than I shouldn't have any problem getting hired at United/American/C.O./Delta etc".

After that happens, then I'd like to see how many whores line up to apply to these "Walmart Airlines"!!!

I wonder from where they are getting their applicants? Most jet operators pay at least that or more. Especially if they require 5k and jet time.

I think all Age 60+ pilots that decide to sue their unions to get their jobs back get banished to Skybus.

And they are flying airbuses. Pretty automated (you know the whole pilot out of the loop thing), they should be able to handle it. hehe....

Ever hear of an airline called Indepence? Once an Airbus operator!
Indepence Airbus pilot = Skybus Airbus pilot (a lot are still looking for a home)

Also, Comair country is just down the hill.
