Who cares its really not that hard to walk to an airplane, have we really become that lazy as a society? I agree the slipping on de-ice fluid needs to be worked on but for christ sakes we are already a lazy society. How hard is it really to walk to an airplane. The de-ice fluid issue needs to be dealt with but other than that most of the year it is not winter time, quit being lazy and walk, it helps with obesity.

Its not about walking to the airplane dumbass, its the substandard service compared to Eagle (all on jetways) across the alley and the HUGE safety/liability issue!

ALL FEEDER SERVICE IS 'SUB-STANDARD'.....INCLUDING EAGLETS!!!

ALL FEEDERS SHOULD BE SEGREGATED FROM MAINLINE, GIVEN THEIR OWN TERMINAL, RUNWAY AND PARKING AREA SO THE REST OF THE CIVILIZED INDUSTRY CAN CONTINUE PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICE TO DESERVING CUSTOMERS.

IT IS AWESOME YOU GUYS FEEL FOR THE PASSENGERS. YOU WILL BE THE FUTURE FOR REAL AIRLINE PILOTS AND EVERYONE WILL BENEFIT.

Here's the Thing....United doesn't care.
 
The biggest problem is there are too many airplanes and not enough gate space. We are packed in like sardines, that being said as long as there are appropriate guides and no large changes in engine power on the ramp I don't see the problem. Unfortunately I don't think united is going to cut flights just so everyone has a jetway.
 
Hell you guys took some of our C gates...isn't that enough or do you want it all...have the B gates as well....

apparently you aren't an FO and don't have to worry if you blow anything over... ever parked way up in the alley there....??? putz....

Yes it is tricky coming in doing a sharp turn then straightening out again. The parking is funky to say the least especially in the F1 gate area. The point is it is done safely almost every day without blowing anything over. The safety margin is there. You always have to be careful and on your toes in chicago. I think this thread is making a big deal out of nothing.
