-What's Netjets LTD program?

-At the LAX domicile what airports do they normally have you start out of? Just trying to better estimate the 5-6 hour commute.

-Lastly, what is NJ policy for a personal leave of absence? (for educational purposes...MBA, Law School, etc.)

Thanks so much!

I don't work there but, good luck with all that. I don't know any company that lets you leave work for school. I worked full time and got my degrees, why can't you? :)

I did the undergrad that way just like you :)
It's the least of my worries but but I highly doubt any sort of legitimate graduate level work exists that can be completed with a full time flying job. Also just to clarify there are LOT'S of non flying jobs that not only encourage but also pay for higher education. Thanks!

- Don't know the specifics of the LTD but we do have it included with our benefits, I believe it pays 60% of your income while you are out. Kicks in after 6 months I believe. We also have Loss of medical ins and STD (Short Term D that is). I think they are all good for 60% of your income. You also get 1 sick day in your bank per month worked, they are probably the best form of STD if you can get some built up.

- The company can pick one satellite airport for you to report to, you may want to ask some LAX guys how it works. I believe Van Nuys is the official one?? I have taken a taxi from LAX to LGB, BUR, VNY, SMO, SNA and a couple of others. I have rarely picked up an A/C at LAX when I airline into there.

- I think you will only get an LOA for Military or FMLA type stuff (Medical, Family type stuff.) Never heard of anyone getting one for education. I have looked at MBA's on-line and there are some out there but I wouldn't fork over the $20K so I haven't done anything about it.

mins?

What are the competitive times at NetJets? Has anyone been interviewed/hired with less than the 2500tt minimums? Hired with the minimums?

Thanks for the info.

The mins are and always have been hard and most have well above them currently. If the majors all start hiring again and age 65 takes a couple of years to get started or some how fails to start, the company will have a harder time hiring and less experience (than what is currently getting in, not less than the mins) will get in easier and hopefully necessitate a change in the current domicile system.

AJL dont be afraid to apply. I had 2530 when my app was accepted.

And don't forget that an ATP rating is also required, not just the written for the ATP.

But if you meet the mins and are interested, you may as well send in your resume. You can't get the job if you don't apply.

The mins are hard and most hired have considerably more, but like they said above- if you have the mins apply and do your best to get one or more letters of recommendation from current NJA pilots to get a better chance of an interview. Good luck.

How tough are they on the instrument time? I have a good amount of total time but i just dont have the 250 total instrument time.

Also, don't forget, they will hire a 2,501 hour pilot with good RECENCY OF EXPERIENCE over a 10,000 pilot who has sat behind a desk for a year. Just FYI.

So they DO hire folks who aren't flying as much right now? I'm an Instructor on the Hawker 800 and beechjet.
