....I dont know man, this guy sounds pretty sure.

You have a better chance of having Frank Sinatra, Babe Ruth, the Pope, John Lennon, Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster over for dinner at the Playboy Mansion than ASA ever flying E190's for anybody....ever!

Living under a rock, are we????

It's called Lynx (rumor has it).

What? This rumor has been posted before?

Guess I should read EVERY thread it flightinfo. (I don't think there are enough hours in the day though! :) )

Actually, wikipedia (only slighly more accurate than flightinfo) has some info on this subject.

Lynx Aviation & FrontierExpress

On September 6, 2006, Frontier announced that a new division of the holding company known as Lynx Aviation, would operate 10 Bombardier Q400 aircraft beginning in May 2007 as FrontierExpress.[2] The first Q400 will be delivered in May 2007 with one additional aircraft per month from July through September and two per month from October through December. The 10 option aircraft would be delivered March 2008 through January 2009.[3]
The name plays off of the tail pictures of its planes, specifically Larry the Lynx, and the fact that it "Links" smaller airports to the main Denver hub.[4] One reason for the change is to help reduce costs, Frontier hopes to cut costs on routes 650 miles or shorter by 30%, allowing entry into new markets. [5] It is unknown at this time if the aircraft will have LiveTV installed on board.
The current head of Lynx Aviation is Tom Nunn.[6]

I had LeBrequec on my Jumpseat two weeks ago and asked him about the Frontier flying. He said he didn't think we would get it because it was E-190 flying and they would probably choose someone who is already flying it

Was he talking with his hands and blinking a lot........

Like I said if it's EMBs we won't get it but if its CRJs we will.

Skywest already has a whole network set up in Denver, Republic, I believe, do not. That's costly to initiate. I don't believe Frontier pays for that sort of thing (setting up bases, etc.) Not sure how Frontier compensates there. It's no secret the E170 is an expensive airplane to operate, however, passengers LOVE it. Maybe that's why Frontier wants it so badly. They are a low cost carrier, and you'd think they would want cheaper flying. Frontier will operate the 2 aircraft Horizon are sending back in January (replace with Airbus). As far as I know, Horizon will be out of Denver as of Dec. 2007.

For SKywest, what about the non-compete clause for United out of Denver? It is my understanding SKywest will not likely get the frontier flying b/c of that. Station manager in DEN at Skywest said Republic is the likely winner with 170 or 175s.

its hard to say who will get the flying. but i think the E190 for ASA is unlikely.

Skywest and ASA is NOT getting the F9 flying...why do you guys keep trying to convince yourselves of that?????
