Ah, never heard THAT. Anyone I know that was there said that all he said was we were to expensive.... RIIIIIIIIIGHT!!

On a side note....the skywst agreement with a modest payraise, QOL and cleaned up language just might work around here! Yet notice, they are not even offering that.....WHY you ask....because our mgmnt is a BUNCH OF JACK@SSES!!!!! If there were an award for "Mismgmnt," they would certainly be the WEENERS!!!

Actually they are offering it if we are willing to take on PBS, dual qualification, moderation on our 70 rates, and drop the Bfund retirement. Ask the MEC why they aren't willing to do this!

add me to that and that makes 3. I also personally know MANY others who'd answer the same way. I'm willing to bet if JA floated that idea to the ASA group, it would pass easily. Tie in combining lists in some "fair"way and its a lock for sure.

Make that 4. I think that could be done, the trick is getting our side to agree to it. We would have to drop some of our demands and as yet that hasn't happened.

Welcome to ATL Skywest pilots. You aren't to blame for the cluster that has been created by allowing flying to be put out for bid within a brand. You are pawns on the same chess board - JA vs. ALPA.

To those of you blaiming the Skywest pilots, that is no different than the Delta pilots blaiming us for their loss of jobs. We need to quit blaiming the pilots within the portfolio and demand that ALPA due more to combat the portfolio concept.

If I was at SkyWest...I would not vote for ALPA. You have a management who takes care of it's employees. I have not witnessed anything from ALPA that would convince me of signing them. Why mess up a good thing at SkyWest. Now, I do think you guys are getting played (a little goodness to help fend off ALPA). Of course, if I was there I would just say thank you. If things get bad there...you can always vote ALPA in later.

Now, switch to ASA. Things have already gotten bad here. We have a totally different culture here. We have an awful relationship with our management. There is no trust whatsoever (and that lack of trust has been earned). I don't think we could survive without ALPA.

So, is that your coalition's plan Joey? What have you and SH worked out? And don't act like you're not part of the so-called fab 4.

VOTED IN FAVOR!

It's not my coalition, and I haven't worked anything out with SH. In fact I just met Scott for the first time 2 weeks ago on the crew bus. That being said, I do think the majority of ASA pilots would agree to something less than what we are demanding in order to preserve 70+ seat aircraft and loss of flying. I do think moderation is more prudent now than hardline chest thumping. ALPA's failure to control flying thru scope has created a "free-for-all bidding war". I would prefer that we didn't have to bid on flying within a brand, but ALPA didn't have the will to prevent the portfolio concept from
taking over. We are all now paying the price for ALPA's failures.

ASARJMan- Just curious, but do you really think that SH is the big policy maker in this debacle??? Might want to look higher up the chain of things.....Quite personally, I'd tend to look at the absolute top of the food chain here. SH doesn't impliment policy, he's just the messenger that enforces it.

I was in the crew lounge when JA came to ATL to meet the people, He offered your current (what ever SKW has) to our group.
I was there too and he did NOT. I was the one who brought it up to him (atleast in the meeting I attended, while sitting directly beside him in front of the computers in the crew room) and he "acted" like he had never even thougth about offering that to us. I have a really hard time believing he never even thought of it before.

What he said was, I'll have to paraphrase some, he would consider the idea.

Best I can tell from the CNC, we have NOT been offered the SkyW deal. ever.
