I am hearing a lot of talk of SkyWest flying out of ATL starting Dec. Maybe flying the 900's. Had a Delta guy on my JS today. One of the first things he asked was how we felt about SkyWest flying out of ATL.

Anyone else hearing this?

It didn't make sense to have 2 companies in SLC...but it makes sense to have 2 companies in ATL???????????

I have said before...the true sign of ASA's future will be:

If BL gets fired = ASA has a future.
If SkyWest opens a base in ATL = ASA is history.

I strongly suggest you guys stay out of our lounge if you do start flying through Atlanta. But hey if you do want to come into our lounge, talk to some senior guys. Try telling a few angry 700 guys how good of a deal you have not being unionized and as a bonus, repeat your CEO's lecture on hourly rates and total compensation. And if that's not good enough, when you're done with that look at them straight in the eyes and tell them that you are not killing this business.

Oh good...

I'm glad the threats of violence have begun already. I was worried people might actually wait for an official announcement to start acting like ******************************-bags. Thanks for staying ahead of the curve redneck.

If you learned how to read you'd be able to ascertain that there is no threat just a simple note to say that you are not welcome.

P.S. Thanks for buying our airline which is making you record profits and thanks for helping to outsource what little mainline flying was left.

Is this the "same welcome" you got when you came to SLC?

Can you send me a pic of your house? I might want to buy it when your on the street. At a discout of course.

I love watching a lopsided fight. Continue please!

Not to bring this to the original topic or anything, but Scott Hall said in recurent that SYW was going to have 900s in ATL in Dec.

Well of course SkyW will be flying 900's out of ATL in Dec. Duh!

You're all welcome to come to my crew lounge. If I'm in there, I'll make a pot of coffee and show you around.

Thats the way Comair treated me and my crew when we went into CVG and thats how I and most ASA crews will treat you guy's when you come to ATL. If someone acts like an A S S, just pitty them for the misserable POS they are and be glad you're not them.

Not that ANY of you are worried about the hollow "threats" anyway but, the cowards that make all the noise on this message board won't even identify themselves in public. Lots of big talk and union thug threats and namecalling here, none in the lounge. There is some whining and complaining though. Some legit, most not.

Fact IS; unless someone has more than 1 offer, they take the first offer given to them. If thats ASA or Mesa or some other airline, so what? NONE of these clowns on here were appologizing about all of ASA's growth at the expense of mainline a couple years back....they're just pissed they didn't "make it" and they're "stuck" here.

Had they ALL refused to fly the RJ's, maybe mainline would have gotten more planes and hired them all across the street....nah! The RJ's would STILL have come to the regionals and they'd have been on the street, replaced by the next guy/girl in line (and that line is LONG). Then they'd simply be out of a job and still not qualified to be hired at a major.

That will remain ALL OF OUR problems until kids stop showing up at the pilot mills and taking on $100k loans...but, thats not going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

I agree. SkyWest guys are welcome to hang out in the crew lounge. Hell, I'm actually happy that they're flying out of Atlanta. Maybe if they bitch enough about the ramp Jerry will listen and get things fixed.

Unfortunately, it looks like the TSA put the clamps on us bringing ASA guys to the crew lounge in CVG. They said in a memo we can no longer escort people with out SIDA badges to there anymore (no other pilots, families, kids..etc.) Another brilliant rule brought to you by the TSA!

2 Crewrooms

Main lounge located under C 24. This is where the CPs are as well as our mailboxes. The restroom appears to never be cleaned, so beware. You'll find the vast majority of pilots, FAs and rampers here.

Smaller lounge under D 26, also known as The Bada Bing Lounge. Becareful not to look any of these pilots directly in the eye. This is where we have quarantined the ATR pilots and they are unpredictable at best.

As Ohplease stated, you are welcome to stop by. We have 1700 or so pilots here, don't judge us all by the words of a few.

I highly reccomend ALL Skywest visitors take a tour of the men's room, and see one of the many wonderful reasons we are unhappy at ASA.

Please don't listen to the few morons that certainly do not represent the majority of us at ASA. These are the same morons that blocked transmissions by the Freedom guys when started flying out of ATL. Most of the Freedom pilots were displaced from other certificates, they had no choice and most certainly were not scabs.

We have a contingent here that open there mouth before they bother to fill their brain, and the poo that comes out amazes me.

Welcome to ATL. I will be happy to show you around. It isn't much of an operation, in fact it is a goat rope. Be patient, realize that the folks on the radio can't help, so there is no point in a five minute diatribe on the ops freq.

Don't let ATL get you down. Come in, get delayed, get out and shake it off. Remember, the best thing about ATL, you don't have to live there.

That's a completely asinine remark. But when you come to ATL, you will learn all about stupid rednecks, so it's a good primer.

Truthfully, we should all welcome the Skywest pilots. Show them that their management lied that ASA sucks because of ALPA, and tell them how much better they would be with a union. Show them how we can tell the chief pilots to screw off when they want us to take an airplane with no APU. Show them your -700 paycheck and let them how much money we really make.

This is a golden opporunity to show the Skywest pilots how isolated Jerry has made them.

He may be making the mistake of his career by sending them to ATL.

Communism fell because word got out to the oppressed people that the rest of the world really was better. Jerry's communist empire is due to fall when his people see how the rest of the world does it.

CR9 routes

Skywest routes out of DEC (planned)
ATL-MEM, MKE, PIT.

All Skywest employees welcome to Atlanta.

Ya, umm OK! Get off your dang high horse. You are not stoping ANYONE from doing ANYTHING! YOU ARE JUST A PILOT! You are not a toughguy, you are just a pilot. You are not management, you are just a pilot!
Will alpo have another parade when Skywest starts coming in to ATL? What are they gonna do when Skywest really starts coming in...hint: NOTHING! The same thing that silly picket in SGU did!
ASA is alpa, how can anyone kill THEIR buisness. alpa doesn't do ANyTHING...thank you for pointing out that fact to us! THEBEST

Welcome to ATL Skywest pilots! I recently flew on a Freedom JS and the pilots went out of there way to welcome me and store my bag up front. We did discuss the 'blocking' and I told them it was just some of our immature pilots. I invited them to the crew lounges also. So, I extend an inviation to the Skywest pilots too.

We all knew SKYW would come to ATL. I think we should deal with it, welcome them, and show them some southern hospitality, or just hospitality period!
