Yes, to take on the road V-8 is great and hard boiled eggs, trail mix to get you through until you have a healthy meal and Tuna in foil is a great traveler!

Hey did I work with you in cvg...2001-2003 or was it someone who smelled like you? j/k

including skim milk in your diet is a great fat burner

Don't quit your day job, sweetie. You slept thru Nutrition 101.

Carefull with the protein bars, too much IRON and if you are just sitting in the airplane all day it can be bad for your liver. V8 is Ok just lots of sodium, bad for your heart. Try take some Cod Liver Oil to aid in digestion when you have no choice in eating airport food. Couple of tea bags in some bottled water is good too. Soy beans, pumpkin seeds, animal crackers, mango's if you need to get it up, whole wheat bread is great, slap a banana in the middle and you got a great sandwich. I always thought that it would be a great business if someone could make a 4 day meal system so we could take them on the road. Maybe NASA has something......

I agree on the too much iron in your diet. For women pilots though and cabin crew we need extra iron. V8-can be purchased in the lower sodium version, and you can take in about 2400 miligrams of sodium daily, plus or more depending on your body. Read labels if possible. Any extra iron in your diet can cause constipation. Be sure to get your fruits and veggies in for clear skin and fiber, and nuts are good for essential fatty acids along with the fish ( like tuna in the foil) or even sardines are great for carrying on trips.

Just in! and I would like to try and find the article and it is recent! Tomato sauce ( but who will carry tomato sauce on a trip?) Tomato sauce helps with Prostate cancer, eat as much tomato sauce on the road as you can!

I'm afraid I simply must ask, at this point ... Sweetie, did your parents have any children that lived to adulthood. :erm:

Is this a problem while you are eating it, or a flatulence problem the next day??????? Good lord, what a horrible mixture.

What all can you make from the hot water dispenser in the galley? I'm feeling not so creative tonight and the only thing that comes to mind is instant oatmeal.... YUM!

between an insulated food bag, in which i keep ice to keep things cold, and ziploc quart freezer bags - i've pretty much covered my food needs on the road. no more buying crap in the airports, that is unless the call of starbucks becomes too great. left over lasagne, mexican food, soup, whatever - put it in a freezer baggie, put that in the coffee maker w/o coffee and the hot water does the rest. 20 minutes usually does the trick. ok, mexican food does not qualify as remotely healthy, but you can pack healthy stuff if you want. bananas keep well in aluminum foil, don't turn brown as quickly.
