I heard of some NetJets guys that send their uniform ties in to get converted to Zipper Ties. I am looking for the company that does this. Anyone know?

Thanks

Paul

This is about the Gayest thing that I have ever heard of someone doing, are you that lazy that you can't do a tie once a day? I mean really, clip on's are just as bad

Really, this is the gayest thing you have ever heard, pride parades, leather chaps without shorts on, rainbow flags, and a zipper tie is the gayest thing you have ever heard. Thanks for the intelligent response and contribution to our group, without you we would be just a bunch of morons bitching about life and our jobs. Good luck loser.

No... assless pants and pride parades aside this is pretty gay... like Sen. Craig...:D

Zipper ties are awesome, and yes, I am to lazy to tie a tie once a day!!

I tried one once, but it except for its amazing ability to make food bounce off of it without a stain, it reflected lots of light, was a little wide, and overall made me feel like a clown.

Granted, had I worn the clown tie in a couple of training events I can think of, the background circus music would have been appropriate. :)

I will never wear a clip on, and I have been tying knots for over 15 years. I prefer to make a good looking knot everyday, and I enjoy knowing that I can make a good knot

Since we are on the subjet, do they offer a clip-on tie at NetJets?

Yes, there is now a clip-on available through our uniform supplier.

A company called Hamiliton (sp?) ties used to do the conversion for $15. But they went out of business. Sorry. If you find another place please post it. I have only one extra one left! :D

And yes I am to lazy to tie a tie, especially at 4am!

You guys actually untie your ties every day? Why not just loosen it instead?

I do the zip tie cause I work for AirTran. The planes are dirty, the concourses are crappy (ever been to Midway?), heck, our CEO looks like he's one meal or mixed drink away from death, and our official uniforms are cheap and falling apart.

If you can't beat em, join em. Passengers who pay the low fares know what they're getting. They aren't expecting us to look sharp. It's just WalMart.

Call me what you want, but it's clip on for me. No more ring-around-the-collar, I sweat less on the neck, and it beats that 1"knot that eventually develops.
If people want to talk about appearances, let's talk about the guys with nicely tied ties, but are so fat that you can't believe they pass a medical. Or pilots who walk around with shirts that have more wrinkles than Clint Eastwoods face (before even working).

Ever since I went through the the side Cockpit window (727) in an evac and my "tie" almost strangled me I'm a true believer of "clip ons"!
