It was quite a kick when they took the water at different times! We would usually figure "Wet" and "Dry" takeoff numbers.

Sad. Supposedly- (according to my pop) one of those Electras was the Dodgers club plane during the 60's. He was one of the ball club's pilots before moving to the 121 world. I think I'll keep it to myself that the Zantrop L188's are no more.

By the way ,did your Dad fly the B720B that replaced the Electra ? My Dad's retired A/C Maintenance Supervisor for American and they handled the contract MX on the airplane when the Dodgers flew into New York to play the Mets. Small world,huh ?
