Had a UPS jumpseater the other day out of SDF and he had these sweet pork chop sideburns.

On the mustache subject. FAR 121.918.B(1)d. states: Any male pilot upon reaching his 31st birthday who posesses an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with at least one type rating must: within three calendar months grow facial hair on his upper lip including but not limited to each of the sides of his mouth. And within five calendar months must provide the Administrator with photographic compliance with this rule.

There it is right from the FAA!

I've never seen a airline pilot with anything more than a mustache, would loke kinda funny though. I think the cargo guys have more slack on that issue.

Just for grins: my dad got hired by in '66 Eastern at age nineteen...too young to sit on the panel, so he went straight to the right seat.

And he had no facial fair. (Who does at nineteen?)

Pinnacle hired me at 18...started class at 19.....

I know of 2 others that are here that were hired on or around 19/20 recently....
