What would you all say is the average age at new hires at the regionals these days?

Also, on a related note, what is the youngest you have ever seen a regional pilot grow a mustache? I can't imagine any younger than 30 for a mustache.

Hired by a regional back in Feb at 26, now I'm 27 still waiting for a class date. No mustache, however I am perfecting my long white beard! ;-)

BTW, I was the youngest in my interview group, the oldest was 44. Average age of the group was probably early 30's

Is this really a pressing concern or thought for you? Geez!

Is a mustache a pilot must have?? Like on your 31st birthday you must throw away your razor and grow a mustache?? Is it okay to look like you recently tried to eat a squirrel alive?? Is it unacceptable to have a mustache before a certain age??

Well one of my friends got on being 18, I'll most likely be 19 things work out next year.

If I had a mustache I really would be one of the guys!! But you know you better watch out. You would look pretty gosh darn funny in a mustache too. I mean, Ive never seen a kangaroo with a mustache before, but I'd imagine they look funny.

With regard to the facial hair thing I have 1 question..... Is it acceptable at the 121 cariers to have anything other than a mustache, Such as a goatee or even a full beard? If memory serves, i think I remember seeing a United capt in ORD with a full beard a few months ago. And every now and again I swear I see a goatee on other pilots.

Is this a thing governed by FAR (O2 masks) or a company reg?

Just curoius!
