If ATC...

(a) holds you short of the runway until American has launched its entire fleet,

(b) holds you in position and then crosses every aircraft on the field, or...

(c) brings you the last hundred miles into DFW at 7,000 feet and 180 knots...in the Summer…

And from my little bro', the Windy City Slaab driver:

If your entire 6:00 pm push can depart from the same gate...

If ground control refers to your parking area as "the trailer park"...

If you load baggage and do passenger safety briefings...

If you hang around ATA 757's, hoping for leftovers...

...you might be a regional pilot.

My airline turned a profit at .76. How about yours?

(Would you like an ice pack?)

Easy there big fella…

.76 mach is considered hauling a$$ in that rust bucket we run company shuttles into and out of Central America on, gotta be careful with the cost index or we’ll stall the ole gal!

:D

ATC tells you to "follow the company 737/Airbus/whatever" and an unidentified voice says "they're not company"

You are highly amused by the semi-anonymous attempt at disrespect and say "company" at EVERY opportunity just to rub it in.

You have called a Gramma's pet dog a "lap child" to meet weight restrictions.

You have doubled your taxi burn to carry a jumpseater.

You have given your FA a stuffed animal because the pax are "being mean."

So did mine (at .86 if required)...

Hmm. Didn't mean for this to deteriorate into a penis-size contest...speaking metaphorically, of course...just tired of hearing people whine about RJ speeds. I usually make .78, which seems pretty fast to me...oh well.

Two more, then I'm going to bed. (Got a LOFT tomorrow.)

If getting to use a jetway is the most exciting thing that happens to you all week...

If your baggage compartment is bolted to the belly of your airplane...

...you might be a regional pilot!
