With the 17/15- is the 17 on like a reserve do a 3 day -home- the a 2 day -home - then a 5 day-home etc or are you "gone" for the enitre 17?

There's only a few left. About half of them went back to the 121 league. Good luck!

I wonder why, I've been flying 135, very sim. to what XO is doing, and I love it. I vowed not to go back to the broken world of the Airlines.
I just need to find a company that's moving forward and not backward

If you're on the 17/15 schedule, you need to plan on being gone for 17 days. That is way too long for me, but it works great for the guys that are on it. They get to plan on being off (hard days off) for 15 days straight. If you're out on the road and a new crew comes in and takes your airplane, it's possible that they'll airline you home rather than leave you in a hotel somewhere. The double rotation certainly isn't for everyone, but the trade off is you can live where you want. So you've gotta ask yourself what is more important to you and your family.

More 10's and the addition of Challenger 300s is all that can be said with relative certainty. Anything more than that is pure speculation. 150 airplanes is what the plan calls for. We'd have more on the property already if Cessna was able to deliver them on schedule. Our most recent delivery was made to us about 5 months late.

How soon are the Challenger 300s expected to be on the line and how many have been ordered total? What about Citation Xs - how many on the line now and how many have been ordered total?

Not trying to flame, but what are some of the benefits of flying for XOJet vs. for Netjets or Flexjet? Are there any incremental benefits? I want out of the regional business and I am trying to learn more about alternatives like these.

As of last December, all 300 positions were sold out until mid 2010- this included all "large orders." A million could be ordered (what NJA likes to announce). Has nothing to do with delivery dates and even actual deliveries.
Sort of amusing how us pilots get excited about management announcing "One Billion Aircraft have been ordered" and translate that to the reality of actual deliveries and of course similar company growth and supposed job stability. Orders mean nothing. Take a close look at NJA-they have have announced hundreds of deliveries over the next few years. They will actually take a fraction of those aircraft as many owners leave for other solutions (XO Jet, whole aircraft) and a HUGE number of current aircraft are exited from their fleet.
Good luck if you are anywhere near the bottom half of that seniority list.

How many Xs are currently in the fleet and how many more are expected through the end of 07? Also, does XO Jet still operate the Premier and the King Airs?

Xo

Noperf,

As of now, no vacation days. The company is working on a compensation package that includes vacation, longevity, an other benies.

Right now we have 14 X's 2 King Air 350's, and a Premier. Taking delivery of 6 more X's this year. We should have arounf 22 by New Years. First 300 maybe next year sometime (will be annouced soon). Things are booming here... Good group of people running the show and a great group of pilots to work with.

Cheers

Stock Options. Being part of a growing company that is still small enough where your opinion is heard, AND matters. Being part of a company where the CEO, COO and other senior level management travels to meet with the pilots to ask them what needs to be done differently to make this a career job. And then watching them follow up on what they say. Being part of a company that was willing to end its relationship with a charter client if they weren't willing to stop smoking on our airplanes (pilots had voiced this as an issue). The list goes on.

More minimums

2500 hours for the 10, 1500 for the king airs (which I believe are fully staffed). There really isn't a good number for what's competitive. Your attitude and personality are more important to us than how many hours you have. Guys and Gals are getting hired with anywhere from 2500+ hours to 20000+ hours. They're coming from the regionals, legacy carriers, other 135 operators and cargo operators. We just hired a guy with over 4000 hours of piston twin time, very little turbine time, but with a great attitude. He impressed all that interviewed him, and he's got a job here. Don't get hung up on your flight time (as long as you meet our/ARGUS minimums). We want people that are going to fit well with our pilot group, and you'll get voted off the island if you don't.

T-bone,
I just left a 10 year career in the Navy flying FA-18s. I only have 1700 TT (average for a fighter pilot) but almost all of my time is PIC, ME, Jet. Would I be a non-starter for the citation X with it's 2500 TT?

I really don't know what conversion they use for military time...but I'd be surprised if you didn't meet the requirements. Give it a shot! Your 737 type may result in some questions to your sincerity of wanting to work here though...just a heads up!

Applying

Did a search and couldn't find anything recent. Is fax or email preferred, and who should it be addressed to?

Thanks!

They placed an ad a while back that says send resumes to [email protected]. In the subject line put CX pilots. Good luck.
