XOjet is running an advertisment for Citation X PIC and SIC openings. Avianation.com Jan 5th.

What is the status over there ??

Probably paid for the advertisement earlier and forgot to cancel it.......at least I hope that's the case because if they just canned a bunch and start hiring right away, that would be some major BS.

Just great. Another fellow NJA pilot(?) making us all look like schlepps. This is a thread about XO Jet. Back off and let these guys make up their own mind. Times are tough enough in this "industry". They are no less intelligent than you are. And if you didn't make it at NJA and were offered a job there, I bet you'd be singing a different tune.

No need to bring NJA into this, the thread is about XoJet...when people make ignorant comments they're own their own, let's leave his employer out of this.

Lets not turn this into another union/mgmt bashing thread please. Lets try to stick with factual information.

Any ideas on if and when there will be recalls?

I have some friends on the street and they were interested in XO.
 
I hadn't heard any dates yet. I do know the next class we have is going to be new Challenger 300 guys that have time in type, then new hires for the Challenger that are already in the pool, then recall pilots that have to go through the whole interview process again, then new hires off the street... Might be awhile for your friend, but then again you never know.
 
Any chance the company changes there mind on the "interview again" stance? I think it would be a step in the right direction.

That's what you posted earlier. Don't try to play it off as a question. While it had a question mark at the end, you were clearly trying to make a statement. You just further discredited yourself by trying to make it something it wasn't.

I'm a fellow NJ pilot, and I get just as irritated as anyone else by all the pro union BS thrown out there. It has served us well, but I have also worked for well run non-union shops where the workforce was treated well.

Stop making us all look like asses with your BS.

Capt Dad, no we don't have any kind of union (and lets not start this discussion again please!). If your previous post was a question, you should have worded it differently. It read like a smart @ss statement, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt... If you want serious info on XOJET, just PM me. Thats a lot easier I have found.
 
Cherry, you'd have to be a complete idiot not knowing who has a union, in house or otherwise, while working for a frac. Any frac. There is no doubt how he meant it. Dad, just apologize for the comment. Don't bury yourself with more BS and learn some sense of humility.

Seems like many here like to pick on Dad. Not sure what is so terrible in what he said. XOJET laid off pilots, they did not furlough. The layoffs were not in reverse seniority. Seems to me his point is well taken; If there was a union involved this situation would be different. At the very least folks who already worked the controls would not be subjected to the full hiring process again when their time comes. All in all, Dad pointed out the merely obvious!

Why all the anti union hatred even among NetJets guys. Your union has made NJ a career destination which is a first among anything other than Majors and a select few corporate jobs. If you really are against unions then quit and make room for us who love to have all the union has to offer.

You would have an impossible time getting that to work out. Especially in this economy. When you work for "at will" employment, you can leave for any reason and they can terminate you for just about any legal reason. This economy definetly gives them a legal reason to terminate. How they decide who to terminate is really up to them so long as they do not base it on gender, race, age, etc...

I'm curious. Is the info on APC accurate?

Occasionally I get asked questions about them and I'd like to have the straight scoop.

I don't think there is that much bashing going on in this thread.

I think the APC site is fairly accurate except they have the schedule wrong. We work either 8 on 6 off, or 15 on 13 off.

If you have specific questions just ask. There are plenty of XOJET pilots on this board who are happy to answer questions.
