Capt Murf....don't you know you can't use rational arguments on Flight info. Tripacer reminds me of all the loud crew room jerks people can't stand to be around.

So far my part of this sh!t sandwich does not taste very good and will undoubtedly taste worse as time goes on. But I know where the real blame lies and it is NOT with our MEC.

Go to your LEC meeting in early December. Yell directly at your reps and I bet they will give you FACTS, not rumors or speculations.

BTW, the company should have a term sheet out by November 29th. (at least that is what they say)

It's not hard to guess who some of the names are behind these anonymous screen names. Their courage and integrity is to be commended. While some cowards hideout in caves, these clever individuals are able to hide behind their flightinfo screen names whilst they call out and trash our LEC and MEC Reps. Too bad they don't have the baIIs to share their opinions on the ALPA website where their name is tagged to their post.

Tripacer,
You are SO misinformed and full of crap, I gotta wonder if your in Mgmt. and just wanting to split the pilot group by flamebaiting on FlightInfo.

MemRat was not used before the current contract because of time constraints and missinformation. The internet and instantanious information was in its infantcy in '96 there was no easy way to MemRat ours or anyone else's contract in such short notice. Now there is, it worked well for our contract and allowed NWA to TA an agreement in a week. If there are concessions negotiated, there will be MemRat to vote the TA in or out, period. Other issues do not need or require MemRat. Could you imagine a ratification vote on the LOA for the multi-class bid, it would never have passed, because nobody knew what it was or how it would work.

Wycor is not out to screw you, I seriously doubt any person or pilot that has dealt with him on any issues would tell you that he was out for himself. He has ALWAYS worked for the greater good of the group. Just because you may have felt screwed over because something didn't work in your favor or benefit you individually, doesn't mean that our MEC doesn't care about the ENTIRE pilot group. Your pathetic!

Here's the REAL issue, if we give concessions now, there is nothing stopping the company to file section 1113(c) and extract more concessions later. I'll wait for the judge to decide my fate and face the axe only once thank you very much.

"Internet Infancy", is a lame excuse to use for not having MEMRAT pre-96. Why would you defend urgency to get something thru that clearly effects the livelihood of the pilot group. It's clear that in the MEC's mind that MEMRAT is a hinderance to them since it binds them to what the pilots want, vs the ALPA agenda. Misunderstanding language or not knowing all the facts behind the scenes regarding an LOA to take it to a vote is not the pilots fault, but a weak argument to withhold memrat on LOA's; especially if it alters the contract. What happened to "My MEC Speaks for Me, and I tell them what to say".?

I've never said that Wee-chor is out to screw us personally. I have said that his personal agenda sometimes gets in the way and that he doesnt have the backbone to stand for what this pilot group wants. His marching orders come from ALPA national and he bends over backwards to lockstep behind NWA and their MEC. It's all politics. If calling a spade a spade makes me pathetic, so be it.

Your last paragraph suggests to me you are a senior guy that knows his job future is secure, even if it is flying around in a saab, and you have a problem with the junior guys, who have more to lose in compensation or their job, fighting for it. Just for the sake of argument, let's turn the tables on you and say the union(s) agree to flow back and 800 NWA furloughees come off the street to XJ and you get displaced back to F/O - or better, YOU get furloughed. You gonna walk to the gallows peacefully like a good little union member, or are you gonna fight for your job? Something tells me you'll be yelling the loudest.

I guess we'll see in a few weeks what the cards hold and whether the company gets their 20%.

When you talked to Tom about these concerns, what did he tell you? When you were at the last Union meeting and brought these issues up, what did your LEC say?

I doubt it. Something tells me that Murph would actually get INVOLVED in the whole process and direct change from there. My guess is that Murph understands that "yelling" (or ranting on Flightinfo) would just make him look like an uninformed, paranoid pilot.

Now, before you get all wound up and start advising me on how to be a Captain again (I found that part quite funny), just pause. You post a lot of concerns here. Why don't you go ask our MEC what their plans are? Write them an e-mail. Call them. Post on ALPA.org. If you don't like their answers, invoke change. It's really not that hard...well it's a little more difficult than ranting on here.

One last thing, stop thinking everyone's out to get you. You'll be a lot happier.

How is NJA these days?

You may be on to something there Terry. One of the biggest tools Mesaba has ever seen. He sure wasn't full of any bright ideas!
