Bush is just making the Arabs richer hence having more power. If he releases the reserves now it won't do a damm thing. The Arabs can live for many hundred of years with all $3/gallon fuel we are now buying. America has lost its bargining power all because of G W. BTW if we didn't have an enviroment to live in we wouldn't be living. Hence the tree huggers are fighting for your life! And your childrens.

...and THAT'S why the XJ MEC says they're done talking...any questions?

;)

Will you mesaba guys take the management term sheet if it is contingent on the removal of your SLT?

Mainline tries to protect what they have while we fight for what we want. The fight must start at the bottom but won't be successful without the support of mainline. There are too many external pressures to deal with if we don't have the support of mainline.

YPF,

The answer to your question is NO. Managements' term sheet is incredibly sub-par, at least 10% below Mesa. We will not take the industry lower.

We will not accept their term sheet under any conditions. This would place us well below Mesa on pay, benefits, and work rules.

As for removal of our alleged "senior leadership team", the group passed a vote of no confidence calling for replacement last winter, by over 98%.
That would be a nice action, but we do not expect that our slt would agree to a T.A. that calls for their own removal. That is really up to Northwest, which controls our BOD and has say over company president and others.
ALPA's current proposal does not call for replacement.

So, again we are really dealing with Northwest, which controls our fleet, and by all practicality, prevents us from working for anyone else. As always.
That is something I wish our mainline friends understood better.
We can demand improvement to pay and benefits to raise regional standards all we want; NWA will simply remove our aircraft, and reward flying to another airlink (like compass or pinnacle) or mesa or some other pft types.
How's that fee-for-departure task force going? Or the bilateral scope impact committee? Mr. Mclain? Mr. Dollaway? Mr. Woerth?

Dumb Pilot,

I was referring to the company negotiaors, not the pilots'.

My Apologies Sir;

You boys and gals have our total support. If that means that Compass will have to take ALL our combined flying. So be it!
Will they find somebody to do it cheaper? Sure. Will they remember the groups that took a common stance together? Absolutely!
