I got $10 says the judge keeps delaying the ruling in a cowardly attempt to avoid making a decision that could kill the airline and keep the parties at the negotiating table.

My prediction: Judge gives the unions authority to strike. That leaves management with 4 days to negotiate "for real" this time or shut it down.

Our MEC does an excellent job of keeping us informed, but it takes a few hours for the e-mails to make it out to us. I clicked on the link for J. Kishels Opinions, and the most recent opinion my browser would show was from 2001, so I'm not holding my breath for finding news there. I think we're all here hoping someone will find the ruling and list it here for us.

XJohXJ,

Scroll down - xj opinions are down the page - still nothing there!

K, that's what the Winky is for. Rollyeyes is for exasperation. Unless you were expasperated by that joke. Then I'd go with Rollyeyes, too.

Ya see, it all started back in 19-dickety-four . . .

Hotels...

So since there's no decision, I suppose that we could continue to discuss XJ hotels. I miss getting the free $10 cash at the Thief River Falls casino. I think that they stopped giving it away shortly before furlough because everyone was just taking the money and going up to the room. I do know of a few crews that played on late in to the night.

Anyone want to bet that the honorable and brave judge tells his secretary to give him 10 minutes to get out to his car and then hit the send button????

:D lol. He'll be halfway to Mexico on 35 when he calls her. "Alright Judy, I'm in Oklahoma, SEND IT."

Would he be wearing his 'tache, nose and glasses disguise as he runs to his car?

He learned from watching Office Space . . . "we find it's best to fire people at the end of the day. Statistics show there's less of a chance for an incident."

hmm........

Isn't that place weird!? I got stuck there once (bad wx in DTW I think). The little restaurant/bar was ok though, except the service was terrible. For those that haven't been there, the hotel is the old officer barracks from the air force base, IIRC. Numerous windows were busted out and replaced with OSB. There are 2 bedrooms and a living room, which sounds nice, but it's not, trust me :) Everything is just crap and run-down. When you step into the room, it feels like you're the first person to have been there in 20 years.

No you wouldn't be the first in twenty years, I stayed in each of those rooms. Don't believe me, check the bed sheets!!

*yawn* this is like waiting for the conditioner to do it's job...
