World Airways Questions?

I cant decide which is a better choice as I have the following opportunities:

World MD11 FO or Omni DC10 Captain?

Ego aside, there appears to be a lot more money at World, even as an FO after a few years.. Upgrades are running 4-5 years I am told.

The money is better at World, but what about :

1. QOL
2. Trips
3. Schedules
4. Time off
5. Training
6. Pilot group attitudes/morale
7. Company culture
8. Benefits
9. Travel benefits/zeds/IDs/jumpseats
10. 747s
11. Stability
12. Furlough potential (Omni is almost all military, whereas World seems nicely diversified)

I've only done the research myself, as I didn't nor do I work at either, but on just about every one of those items you've listed, World wins in my view. But this is based solely on talking to people who've worked at both, etc..

Good luck with what ever choice you make.

I got a call yesterday. I cannot make thier interview time next week. They were nice about it, but I could not get out of my trip for it. Oh well, maybe next time I will be off.

Tough choice you got! But, isnt World getting 747-400s?

Another thing to consider; how does World pay when you work a day off?
