I'm not in anyone's back pocket. Ty was already given a warning a week ago for direct insults, and I've already suspended two other AirTran pilots for doing the same with profanity.

I disagree.

Your bias on this issue is blindingly obvious. It is inappropriate for you to both participate in the debate and moderate it. I will not be intimidated into silence.

I know you don't like my opinions on the SLI issues. That's fine. We're just going to have to agree to disagree. But to attack my moderating because I don't agree with you isn't acceptable. Harassing the moderators is not allowed. If you don't like the way we moderate, email the webmaster. If he doesn't respond, then he obviously agrees with us.

Nice spin. I am not "attacking" your moderating nor am I harassing you. I didn't even mention your name ...

Disagreeing with you isn't harassment. On the other hand, squelching dissent over a clear conflict of interest is very heavy handed and pretty much proves my point.

Well said, and good advice. We are all just trying to exert a little control over a process we have no control over. Oddly enough, though, the debate can be therapeutic. But we do have to keep in mind that we will all be on the same team at the end of this. And from my experience on your jump-seats, I think the two groups will fit well together. The first round's on me for all AAI folks, but I'm only buying Ty domestic beer! ;)

Fraternally,
PapaWoody

Amen PapaWoody,

This will be a marathon not a sprint. There will be ups and downs and yes there will be some people feeling like they got screwed when it is all said and done. SLI's are never perfect. Us Joe line pilot types need to let our elected reps hash this out behind closed doors then present the results. Like you said we will all be on the same team eventually and will all do our best to fuel the LUV Machine.
Cheers

What round will Ty be drafted in?

Welcome to the TrannyDraft 2011....

Tood McShay says "my guess, he is a late 6th rounder."

Mel Kiper Jr. (laughing) says he has some work to do before even "dreaming" about the next level.

Asked if he is good enough to play on the A team every Sunday, Kiper said he can "absolutely see him working on Saturday and Sunday, as long as he works on his attitude and Luv aspect of his game"

Kiper then added, that he sees "about 5800 better picks, before he would take a chance on Ty."

An NFL Owner recently said "I might make him (Ty) my 5801st pick and see what he has to offer in training camp or just assign him to the practice squad" "Its an unknown, does this kid have any sense of LUV for the game or has his Agent got to him already?"

:D

Your comment about buying me a domestic beer got me thinking . . . It was sort of like the stages of thinking about the SLI:

1) Free Beer!

2) Drink it with who? :erm:

3) Domestic?

4) Hope it's cold, or it's gonna taste like horse piss! :puke:

5) Should probably be gracious and accept domestic beer

6) Lots of micro brews are domestic!

7) Fat Tire is domestic, and Alaskan Amber, and Shiner and . . . :D

8) Sure, PW, I'll drink a beer with ya!

So, in the end, SLI will be like a beer. Might be a domestic beer, but you can probably find one you like.

"It is important to note that, in regards to SWA, Kiper does not have actual coaching or playing experience, and has been able to designate himself an expert simply by saying so, loudly, many times, without anyone questioning it.

His protege, SWA/FO seems to have been cut from the same piece of bad polyester fabric, cloned from the same wart cell, or spawned from the sack of the same whale".

The other moderators and website owner, none of which work for either company or are people I know outside this forum, disagree with you, and those are the only people I answer to on this forum. You are welcome to your opinion. You are NOT, however, welcome to keep making digs about it.

There's no "intimidation", just instructing you to abide by the instructions and decisions of the website owner and moderators per the Terms of Service.

You didn't have to. There are only 5 moderators on this site, 2 are inactive due to other issues, and you've repeatedly called me out about it in the past 60 days and haven't said anything about other moderators.

Everyone knew who you were talking about. Your attempts to side-step that are painfully transparent and, quite frankly, disingenuous. The fact that you have now returned to your previous discussions on my moderating points out that you WERE, in fact, speaking of me in your earlier post yesterday when you made an accusation out of the blue about "being in someone's pocket".

Disagreeing with you isn't harassment. On the other hand, squelching dissent over a clear conflict of interest is very heavy handed and pretty much proves my point.
I didn't squelch anything. The WEBSITE OWNER shut down that thread. The only thing I did was delete posts that were ToS violations, give warnings and/or suspensions for those violations, and offer to email the posters the portions of their posts that were NOT ToS violations so they could repost them without the offending material. I did that for BOTH AirTran and Southwest pilots alike.

Sorry you can't see that.
